he was a bit greedy. Despite all the efforts on goal west Ham created the best chance of the match (other than the goal) for Zamora.

Well played West Ham, and particularly Rob Green. I thought he had a great game in goal and made some superb saves, especially one of his saves fron Ronaldo.

Yeah. We'll always have to settle for second best... just like in our Champions League group.

I thought Saha looked good except he didn't get the ball in telling positions. He should have done better with Rooney's through ball but paused his run expecting the defender to get the ball. Rooney actually played well in the first half distributing the ball well. He had a poor last 15 minutes, frustration may have had something to do with that. Man U bossed the game but they didn't score. It happens. It happened to them twice in the CL when they contrived to lose to two very ordinary teams.

It will be interesting to see how Man U cope under the pressure of a narrow lead. A five point gap put all the pressure on Chelsea today at Everton as it could easily become 8 points with Man U seemingly having the easier game.

What a 2nd half performance from us today. 2 terrific goals (Lampard saying to Gerrard 'anything you can do I can do better', before Drogba produces something even better than that).

Like I was saying, much much better 2nd half. We actually looked like a team, and not a bunch of individuals, and passed the ball around.

The moment Flumps scored, I knew we would go on and win.

    Anyway, ratings:

    CHELSEA:

    Hilario 5 - Unconvincing.

    Geremi 5 - Poor.
Carvalho 6 - Better 2nd half, but missed Terry.
Boulahoruz 4 - Woeful, could've easily been sent off and given away 3 penalties.
A Cole 7 - Did very well defensively, and got forward.

    Makelele 7 - Improved 2nd half.
Essien 8 - MOTM again. Superb at RB. The outlet every time.
Lampard 7 - Much better 2nd half performance. Fantastic goal.
Ballack 6 - Good free kick. Looked sharper 2nd half.

Robben 5 - Didn't go beyond his man once.
Drogba 7 - Took his goal superbly. Played very well.

    SUBS:

    Kalou 6 - Looks promising. Should've scored.
Shevchenko 7 - Did well in the build up to Drogba's goal. Improving.
Bridge 5 - Not on for long.

    EVERTON:

Howard 6 - Couldn't do anything with the goals.
Neville 6 - Did a good job when up against Robben.
Yobo 8 - Did excellently against Drogba until 3rd goal.
    Stubbs 7 - See Yobo.
Lescott 7 - Did a good job on Robben when up against him.
    Osman 7 - Played well.
Carsley 7 - Had a good midfield battle with the Chelsea midfield.
    Davies 6 - Average.
Arteta 8 - Caused us problems every time he came forward.
    Johnson 6 - Average.
    Anichebe 8 - Looks promising.

Giggs and Rooney could not have a good game one greedy bugger wants to be a one one machine....Tempo was squashed out of them buy leaving it all up to Ronaldo.....
I never saw Rooney get one pass from Ronaldo the whole game......Strange??? How many did Saha get from Ronaldo....????
We saw the difference with Curbishely and his team......Like Tevez, Ronadlo plays me me me football........ Laugh when the pace is super fast, end to end stuff you get sick of players playing this way.......This is why Ronaldinho is such a good player he has learned how important his team is to his own personal growth, Ronaldo has not....... Today we seen two very good games.

Chelsea shown great spirit and character today by coming from behind to get a win. This is what I think will win them the title in the end.

    West Ham v United, ratings:

    WEST HAM:

Green 7 - Played well. Good save from Ronaldo.
Spector 7 - Did a good job against both Ronaldo and Giggs.
Ferdinand 8 - Won the battle of the brothers for me. Very good.
    Collins 7 - Solid.
Konchesky 6 - Did well defensively, but awful distribution.
    Bowyer 7 - Worked tirelessly.
Reo-Coker 7 - Much better performance from him.
    Mullins 7 - See Bowyer.
Etherington 6 - Did OK, but messed up a glorious headed chance.
Harewood 6 - Did excellently for the goal, but should've done better with his own chances.
Zamora 6 - Had a great chance to score, after he left Rio on his arse.

    SUBS:

    Teddy 6 - Worked hard.
    Benayoun 6 - Little impact.
McCartney 5 - Did OK, but slightly unconvincing.

    MAN UTD:

VDS 7 - Very good save from Zamora.
Neville 6 - Not his best performance but did OK.
    Vidic 7 - Played well.
Rio 5 - Got done for power by both Harewood and Zamora. Average.
Heinze 7 - Good to see him back. Played well imo.
Ronaldo 8 - United's outlet ball every time. Squandered a few chances, but the best United player imo.
Carrick 5 - Didn't play very well against his old team.
Scholes 7 - Not his best performance, but did OK.
Giggs 5 - Little impact imo.
Rooney 5 - Should've been booked for dissent. I thought he was poor.
Saha 6 - Not at his best but one or two chances.

    SUBS:

    Solskjaer 5 - Little impact.

I hope those ratings seem fair Ale Well done West Ham. After 80 minutes of our match, I was thinking the gap was going to be 8 points.

    Jaysus where do I begin?

Giggs, Rooney, Heinze and Neville were all utter shite today.

I'm getting severely pissed off by Heinze now, all he did all game (and in every game he has played in) has been hoof hoof hoof. Not impressed. Bring back Evra until he realizes that he isn't playing for Charlton.

It was an off game but the first match for a new manager was always going to be a tough match. Even so we dominated the match and should have won.

Credit where credit is due they fought admirably (even if they did play 10 men behind the ball most of the match).

Laughing He was poor. His positioning was awful (say what you like about Terry, but the man is one of the best in the game in terms of positioning himself). Should've given away 3 penalties and could easily have been sent off.

We need Cudicini, Terry, Joe Cole and Cech to all hurry back. I'm getting very anxious about Hilario. Nothing he could've done about the penalty, but Cech (and possibly Cudicini) would've tipped the Yobo header over the bar.

Batman felt deflated after seeing Chelsea come back from 2-1 down and win 3-2 with a Drogba wonder goal (again).

i think it might of had a similar effect on the Man Utd players.

only positive thing from todays game is that Park is back, Giggs has been poor these last few games.

    He's Tired ok

I felt terrible after the Chelsea victory. In my heart I honestly think that is the moment when I realized Chelsea would win the league. It's such a shame too because they are such a shite team. They rely on individual brilliance rather then a brilliant team to bale them out again and again.

Yeah you missed JT at the back today.

Cudicini was a doubt for last week, he was out again today. Yikes This sooner he gets back the better.

Boula's challenges were treadful, they one on the young Nigerian was a Rugby tackle. He needs to sort that out because he is actually a good defender.

Ballack, Lamps and Drogba's goals were class. Ale
