Hey, no worries dude, Quagliarella is being earmarked for Inter's primavera side Wink

On a serious note, Juve have already secured Grygera, Salhamidzic, and now Saviola. They will be challenging for the scudetto next season.

There are even hints that they are looking for C Ronaldo from Man Utd. But then I doubt if Ronaldo will leave Man U. But he is in awesome form right now & would make a good addition to the Juve team.

not sure if they will be nearly as successful without the ref's help.

then of course nedved will be gone, del pierro not far off being past it, so they pretty much need half a team of new players same as milan.

If you look at the current Juve squad, its already as good as the top 4-5 side in Serie A (I have highlighted some of the more talented names):

    1 GK Gianluigi Buffon
    2 DF Alessandro Birindelli
    3 DF Giorgio Chiellini
    4 DF Robert Kovač
    5 DF Igor Tudor
    6 MF Cristiano Zanetti
    8 MF Giuliano Giannichedda
    9 FW Valeri Bojinov
10 FW Alessandro Del Piero (captain)
    11 MF Pavel Nedvěd

    12 GK Antonio Mirante
    13 DF Felice Piccolo
    14 DF Federico Balzaretti
    15 MF Claudio Marchisio
    16 MF Mauro Camoranesi
    17 FW David Trézéguet
    18 DF Jean-Alain Boumsong
    19 MF Matteo Paro
    20 FW Raffaele Palladino
22 GK Emanuele Belardi (on loan from Reggina)
    23 FW Tomás Guzmán
    25 FW Marcelo Zalayeta
    27 DF Jonathan Zebina
    29 MF Paolo De Ceglie
    30 DF Nicola Legrottaglie
    32 MF Marco Marchionni
    33 DF Orlando Urbano

Then look at the kind of players they have out on loan - the best of whom they can call back next season:
    MF Manuele Blasi (at Fiorentina)
    MF Andrea Gasbarroni (at Parma)
    MF Olivier Kapo (at Levante)
    MF Alessio Tacchinardi (at Villarreal)
    MF Ruben Olivera (at Sampdoria)
    FW Fabrizio Miccoli (at Benfica)
    FW Giuseppe Sculli (at Genoa)
    FW Rey Volpato (at Arezzo)

Then add to that the likes of Grygera, Salhamidzic, and perhaps Saviola/C Ronaldo/Emerson/etc. And no CL distraction next season.

Yeah, I think they will be challengers for the scudetto next season.

Talented squad for sure, but nedved should be finished, and how much have the likes of del pierro got left. We are not just talking about a player, but the 2 of the main players of the team, without considering they lost cannavaro and zambrotta already. You also highlighted Cristiano Zanetti who is good but nothing special, so I am assuming that since he is one of the more talented the others cannot be all that special.

Of course this team is going to be near the top, and does not seem to be in as bad a condition as I thought, but without the ref giving them penalties in injury time, which was key to them winning quite a few matches. I actually see the ref's being harder on them in order to not seem to be being nice to them, so cannot see them getting many penalties at all.

C Zanetti may not be special, but IMO he is >>> Carrick and Hargreaves as a holding midfielder - thats why I have him highlighted... He refused to play second fiddle to Cambiasso at Inter, something Vieira/Dacourt accepted.

Some of the not-highlighted ones can make teh starting XI of a top Serie A or EPL side.

It would be interesting to know whether he left because the manager didn't appreciate him, and maybe knew that behind cambiaso was viera then dacourt then him. If he was that great why didn't a serie A team take him? Also he left on a free?

We all have different opinions on players, and I do kind of like Inter and have seen them a lot live. In my opinion C Zanetti has never stood out in a match, as I said good player but nothing special. In terms of comparisons with the EPL I would say he is better than carrick as a holding midfielder becasue carrick isn't one. It's kind of like calling pirlo a holding midfielder, they are there for their distribution not tackling and breaking up play. In terms of holding midfielders he is way behind the likes of makelele, hargreaves, etc, maybe about the same level as Parker.
