News doing the rounds is that Juve is lining up a £30m offer for Steven Gerrard.

But I doubt if Gerrard will join Juve...he might not fancy the idea of not playing CL for the next seaon.

    So Juve..

Saviola is averaging 1 goal every 60 minutes.. I can understand why you might be interested but while he is an excellent poacher he won't bring much to your game as a whole.

I would like to see him continue for us, playing the games where we need to counterattack, but not the ones that we are supposed to control.

Him being an excellent poacher would make good sense for Juve as he would compliment Del Piero better.
Saviola would be sought after more so as Trez's future at Juve is uncrtain.
And with limited number of starts Saviola has made for Barca this season, he might just take this opportunity

When CZ was at Inter, he had become second choice to Cambiasso. He didn't like that, and wanted to be the starting team. That was the onoly disagreement.

When he joined Jive, they were in Serie A, and Vieira + Emerson were playing for them. He was actually confident that Capello will play him above Vieira!! Anyways, there was no way anyone would prefer Dacourt above CZ, Inter wouldn't have bought Dacourt if CZ had stayed.

Anyways, alls well that ends well. As for CZ, he did hit out against Inter when he was leaving, saying that "he wants to play for a club which can win"... I hope he is happy now Wink Winning Serie B silverware!

Some of the not-highlighted ones can make teh starting XI of a top Serie A or EPL side.

We are not just talking about a player, but the 2 of the main players of the team, without considering they lost cannavaro and zambrotta already. You also highlighted Cristiano Zanetti who is good but nothing special, so I am assuming that since he is one of the more talented the others cannot be all that special.

Of course this team is going to be near the top, and does not seem to be in as bad a condition as I thought, but without the ref giving them penalties in injury time, which was key to them winning quite a few matches. I actually see the ref's being harder on them in order to not seem to be being nice to them, so cannot see them getting many penalties at all.

It would be interesting to know whether he left because the manager didn't appreciate him, and maybe knew that behind cambiaso was viera then dacourt then him. If he was that great why didn't a serie A team take him? Also he left on a free?

We all have different opinions on players, and I do kind of like Inter and have seen them a lot live. In my opinion C Zanetti has never stood out in a match, as I said good player but nothing special. In terms of comparisons with the EPL I would say he is better than carrick as a holding midfielder becasue carrick isn't one. It's kind of like calling pirlo a holding midfielder, they are there for their distribution not tackling and breaking up play. In terms of holding midfielders he is way behind the likes of makelele, hargreaves, etc, maybe about the same level as Parker.

Inter did not know what they were doing when they let go of Cannavaro on a free transfer to Juve...we know the rest of the story Very Happy

I am sure CZ will turn out to be the same kind of find for Juve...maybe not to extent of Canna's achievements
