The 5th metatarsal takes the longest to heal, he could even be out for the rest of the season.

can somebody come up with another reason, bar boots, why we have an increase in metatarsal injuries.
I really blame the boots of the last 10 year for it.
Something else about boots, which I noted with RVP and a few other players. If they change type/brand they tend to play crap for a while. Anybody else noticed this...

It is probably something to do with harder pitches. Most pitches have some artificial grass in them to stop them cutting up so much, that's why you never see really muddy pitches like in the old days

Make the ground (artificially) softer then... Spend your money on better pitches then to get overpriced players...

maybe. i remeber players complained about the pitches at the WC. I was at the stadium. Ronaldo was much better. Rooney just got three lucky strikes after Diagne-Faye went to sleep three times.
