    Mellberg is easily the 3nd best defender outside the top 4 behind Woodgate and King, he's not too far behind King either. Speed has been a key player at every club he's been at and he's still going strong at 37, Shepherd was a dick for selling him behind Robsons back. ok
    mellberg is great. if laursen could stay un-injured for a while, i think we'd have one of the best cb pairings in the league.

    agree on speed too. bad decision to sell. what was the reason? was he just on high wages or something?

    No idea, but Robson says in his autobiography that the first time he heard about it was in the papers. And some people wonder why we don't like Freddy Shepherd. Erm

    Maybe it's all the hate that he recieves because he can act like a twat and is So into Man Utd and Under Fergie's wing, but he is truly one of the best RB's in the world.
