Borussia Mönchengladbach are 16th in the Bundesliga and have not won in the last 13 games

Real Madrid legend Heynkes, yes , the one who got them their first CL title for 30 years and was sacked immediately afterwards, has thrown in the towel

Jos Luhukay is the new provisional boss

what's the word in the street; is he any good ?

Like Gio, Landzaat & some other great Dutch players he's from Moluccan (Islands in Indonesia) descent. Kids get a very tough upbringing, lots of respect for parents & authority. Will demand total discipline from his players.

it's surprising Borussia appointed a relative novice

    they are RELEGATION-bound Yikes

    -----------------

word has it that Doll may be on his way out if he loses the next match

I wonder who the saviour could be

please , let it be SCHUSTER

How about a joined Dutch-German taskforce (all in one person) that's used to working miracles on the spot ?

    @Axe

Even better! He is known of the Korback-effect! When a team is in relegation trouble he will take you out of there with his "hotse-knotseboerenkoolvoetbal"

One question must be solved first ....How are the bars in HSV...?

    @ axe

you are extremely generous to suggest that there should still be any German participation in the salvage operation

why go German-Dutch when you can go ALL-DUTCH ???

I think we should hand over the keys of the DFB to Cruyff, appoint van Basten as the head of the Nationalmannschaft, Guillit as Court Poet and put the Lama in charge of German wildlife

van Duisenburg can run the Deutsche Bank and Silvie will replace Heidi and Claudia as the face of the country

on one condition though: you have to appoint a German as advisor for Handball related matters

    agreed ?

Jupp Heynckes has revealed that three recent death threats he received were the reason behind his decision to step down as coach of Borussia Moenchengladbach.

The 61-year-old threw in the towel after his side's goalless draw at home to Nuernberg, a result that left the club second-from bottom of the league, though he insisted his decision was not taken for footballing reasons.

"In the last two months I have received three death threats. They had to be taken so seriously, that I was accompanied by undercover police officers in Bochum and Cottbus," he told the Rheinischen Post.

"My decision had already been made [before the Nuremberg match]. The board of directors tried to persuade me to stay on Wednesday after I had told them my decision of a final one. But I have thought through my decision.

"It has been a difficult one, as my heart beats for Borussia, and I believe the club is on the way up. With this board of directors, the club can really go places," he added.

Why were all the Germans defending Doll as the heir apparent of German managers ?! It's obvious the man is a fraud !

Even an average Dutch manager (Stevens) can do better !

...and even a rubbish Dutch manager (Van Basten) gets more out of some of these players than Domme Doll Exclamation

Ah well, for a German manager he probably isn't half bad Ale

    Laugh
