I haven't been on for a couple of days and can't be bothered to read the 20 odd pages of this thread, so can anyone tell me (neutral or biased) how Puyol vs. Crouch and Xavi/Iniesta vs. Gerrard played out?

Crouch was fairly woeful but got less than no help from the referee. To paraphrase Allez's article - "The referee seemed to think that being tall was a foul". Gerrard was poor but still created England's best chance of the match for Crouch. Went off at half time though.

Xavi was his usual self, didn't lose the ball once, got loads of hype on here but still didn't create a single opening Wink

Barca's players definitely performed the better though. {size=3]we're luring you into a false sense of security[/size]

well in the start england used the easy way and just gave a long ball to crouch who caused trouble in this way without actually getting chances. if he be as effetive vs barca in a hole match that wont be good. allthough im not sure who was marking him out of puyol/pablo.

3 days before. Valencia away. I know.

Check out my post in our thread, I've written a small section about our upcoming month. We have 10 games in the space of exactly 30 days, a game every 3 days, playing all the top teams in La Liga and you in Europe, and it involves all 3 of the competitions we're in. Can't ever remember any club having a month long stretch like that. Luckily our squad is almost fully fit.

Ouch. I think after this weekend - if what I've been reading on the offical site is true - we have no matches before our game against your lot. They've got 10 days off and are going training in Portugal I think.

Good in a way, but I'm sure one of Sissoko or Mascherano will start against you and at most (in Momo's case) they'll have had one game back. Neutral

I just hope Aurelio's back. The way Riise's playing at the moment, I'm beginning to think you may actually get a chance to shoot.

Though not necessarily on target. Razz
