Post by "Tuffy" Monag Fri Feb 02, 2007 6:43 pm

FA youth cup, Saturday, will the lilly-livered geordies be capable of stopping the young Millwall team, led by 16year old striking phenonemon David Amoo, in their courageous and victorious march to the final?
Having already dispatched last years finalists, Man City, and thrashed the scousers of Everton at Goodison Park, will the United youngsters be able to stop trembling in fear long enough to make a vain attempted to try and make a game of it? Or, is their plan just to defend all the time so as to not be totally humiliated by the result? Only time will tell.

    LuaLua Lion tamer

    Newcastle U18s 1 Millwall U18s 0

Kazenga LuaLua got the vital goal to send Newcastle's U18s into the Sixth Round of the FA Youth Cup at St. James' Park on Saturday.

LuaLua's strike came twenty minutes from the end of a tough encounter when Frank Wiafe Danquah sent the young striker through to hit a right-footed shot into the bottom corner.

It was almost 2-0 in the 78th minute when LuaLua had a free-kick saved by the 'keeper's legs but despite late pressure our youngsters made it through to the last eight where they now face Swindon.

A physically bigger Millwall side caused us problems with strong centre-forward David Amoo proving a handful.

The visitors hit the crossbar in just the third minute from a corner and in a bruising first half Darren Lough was booked and injured in a heavy challenge on Millwall's Callaghan. Wiafe Danquah replaced the defender.

Young striker Ryan Donaldson was also injured and replaced late in the game by Glenn Reay and in stoppage time 'keeper Mark Cook made a fine save when all 11 Millwall players were up for a corner.

Newcastle knocked us out last round, heard they were really good. The crop of youngsters we have this year isn't bad so would have taken some beating.

Oh what an arse you look. Laughing

Looks like Kazenga was the main man, not Amoo. He must be a better prospect. <Ale>

What's this? A totally unbaised report from Nuke-us-alls official web site?
Try reading reports from neutrals, about how the northerners kicked those soft southern nancies out of the game.

No, it's from a fansite, quite a good one aswell. They usually tell it like it is. <Ale>

True, you have reason, but, it's just because there is so much slagging off material about the Iron hoofs that it's extremely difficult to resist.
BTW, do the Wet Hamas still say «they won the world cup»?

Glad to see the geordies giving local youngsters a chance.

Doh You realise your boy Amoo is Ghanaian? Kazenga has lived in England pretty much his whole life, Danquah is the only one that isn't local - He's dutch with Ghanaian parents, signed from Ajax. Ale
