If West Ham go down i wouldn't mind bagging him unless Fergie has other wing targets

Really think this is Giggsys last season where he can play consistantly out on the wing (well more consistantly then now)

I agree with Giggs. Amazing start to the season but he's seriously tailed off now. I can't believe people (including United fans) say he's one of our players of the season.

The only problem is....Benayoun is not for sale at any cost under any circumstances

same goes for Green,Gabbidon and Ashton

The main ones who are likely are Reo-Coker,Ferdinand,Bowyer,Spector,Sheringham,Cole and possibly Carroll

aswell as Neill (£3.5m release clause( and Upson (£6m release clause) if someone activates it.

well the point of the thread is to say who you would take...so obviously I can't moan

But was just saying he's one who we won't want to sell. There will be clubs who try their luck at him...for me personally he's good enough to play for anyone....aswell as the fact he can play RW,LW,AM,ST...and plays every single one as good as each other....

I would be distraught if we sold him for some reason...but if he does I'd rather it was to someone like you....than T*ttenham..because Benayoun is good enough for the CL

Nowhere near it - even a misfiring, inconsistent Rooney has been better.

Will he be happy being a bit part player next season?

really think we should look for another right full back, a left winger a 'DM' (i hate that phrase) a striker in the mold of Torres or Villa and another attacking central player within the next year although Fergie may leave it to his replacement to bring in fresh blood. Hence why i can see him leaving after next season when Giggs Neville and Scholes (although he'll be able to play for a couple more seasons) won't be able to walk

Benayoun is a good suggestion(though Deano is saying he wont be sold) and I think Park does this role.
Bent could easily be the striker we are looking for because anyone coming in wont be a replacement for Saha but a backup(at least for 2 or more seasons).
As I said NRC would give us options in midfield (though lets see how gibson progresses).

If he's £10 million or less, then we should get him. He's like a clone of Saha, just not as developed yet but less injury prone.

He lacks the technique of Saha, but he's got more physical presence and would fit your style of play. He'd be a very useful backup to Saha for the Premiership, allowing you to save the Frenchman for Europe.

I think with us he could learn and add to his play , like passing.

Oh sure, you'd be buying a raw, unfinished player with the intention of improving him, but given a couple of years with superior players I can see him going places.

But if Charlton want too much for him , they can keep him.

I think that it'll be less than that. Crouch and Pennant both left relegated clubs for Liverpool for about 7 million quid, which appears to be the going rate for a star player from a team just relegated from the Premiership.

And you could always bung them Alan Smith as part of a swap deal.

I doubt Smudger will want to go to a championship club.

Yeah, I suppose so. Still, if you can flog him to Fulham or one of those other mediocre Premiership teams, you can get a bit of cash to throw at Charlton. I still think you should be confident of getting him for less than 8 million quid, which these days isn't a lot of money.
