Race for the golden boot.. Empty Race for the golden boot..

Didi's 2 goals for us on Saturday put him just out in front in the race for the golden boot. Will he be able to keep up this form, or will somebody else pip him to the award?

    Current table:
    -----------------------------------------Gls Pts
    1 Didier Drogba Chelsea (ENG) 17 34
    2 Afonso Alves Heerenveen (NED) 22 33
    3 Frédéric Kanouté Sevilla (ESP) 16 32
4 Maksim Gruznov Trans Narva (EST) 31 31
    5 Ronaldinho Barcelona (ESP) 15 30
5 Cristiano Ronaldo Man United (ENG) 15 30
    7 Daniel Nannskog Stabæk (NOR) 19 28.5
    8 Francesco Totti Roma (ITA) 14 28
8 Diego Milito Real Zaragoza (ESP) 14 28
10 Roman Pavlyuchenko Spartak Moscow (RUS) 18 27
    10 Veigar Gunnarsson Stabæk (NOR) 18 27
10 Dmitri Lipartov Trans Narva (EST) 27 27

Hopefully Dider stays on course ok

Alves is injuried, Sevilla are on the downward spiral and i doubt they can rekindle their 2006 form.

Only real competition would be Ronaldinho, and the number of PK's given at OT Whistle

One big factor is that Drogba has already played 27 of this 38 games.... only 11 more to go.

Dinho and Totti have only played 22, they still have 16 more games left!

These 3 are neck to neck, IMO.

Yes, Drogba should win it. Of course, it means very little, but still, Drogba should win it.

I hope Didier Drogba, wins it, he's been brilliant this season or maybe Totti.

If Alves weren't injured he would have won it easily Sad

...considering he's not playing for a top-4 team in Holland, that would have been sensational...
