Fiorentina are assembling a very strong squad, building on it very intelligently every year.... I hope they qualify for the CL, Viola deserve to be there more than Palermo, Lazio or even Milan!

I think its on a free as his contract with Arsenal expires this summer.... I wonder why Arsenal did not renew that contract, is he playing that bad at Derby??
He did impress on his U21 debut for Italy a few months back...

Re: Fiorentina sign Lupoli
I think he may be making a mistake to move to a big squad like Fiorentina so early in his career.... unless the viola loan him out, he will end up warming the bench in these formative years, which is never a good thing...

Hmm, he said that he wanted to leave and go back to Italy so i guess he wasnt interested in renewing his contract.
Dont think there would ever be a place for him at Arsenal but hes a clinical finisher with good skill and movement.

I wish Arturo all the best in going back to Italy for his football. He could thrive at Fiorentina as I imagine he will be given a chance to shine.
Never looked comfortable in England with his lack of height and strength. His technical qualities and off the ball movemenr will hold him in good stead though.
He learned from Henry, Bergkamp etc. The best education anyone could wish for.

Its an opinion, based on the fact that Fiorentina have won more points than these teams, hence played better, hence deserve more.

His deal with Arsenal was set to expire. He should of stayed @ Derby! I doubt he will be a starter, we shall see, maybe if Toni leaves.

Whoever deserves it will get it. Over the season, little ups and downs even themselves out. Let's not forget that Fiorentina too had their hands in the Moggi pie--in whatever capacity.

Well all 3 clubs mentioned were deducted points for some reason...Palermo were not in the scandal and I think they deserve 3rd place...Empoli for 4th

He'd hardly be a suitable replacement for Toni. No chance he'll be first choice next year. Looks a decent prospect though.

Its hardly like Toni needs replacing yet though, he's only 29, he doesn't have blistering pace, so he should have 4 years left in him

Why would Toni be sold though?
They'd be daft to sell him andfor anyone buying him, he doesn't haven't too many seasons at the top left in him

The Viola might want to cash in on him while he is on a high in his career
Anyway they have Mutu doing so well for them
Why did Juve had to sell him away

Juve didn't sell him... just swapped him with Bojinov, whom Deschamps never plays...
Poor lad, one season he was the toast of Serie A and among the brightest prospects in the world, and 2 seasons later he can't make the starting XI in Serie B!

Re: Fiorentina sign Lupoli
Its not that I don't like palermo, but just that it will be a total waste of a CL spot.
Palermo do not have a squad to compete in 2 competitions (Inter, Roma, Milan, Fiorentina have), and also I heard that Zamp wants to sell this summer... so Palermo qualifying would be like what happened to Chievo this season... they were a shell of a team which played so well last season.

If bojinov was swapped for Mutu, IMO it was bad trade
