I know you guys think FIFA/UEFA hate you, and they might, but you're loaded and they know they need to keep rich clubs/leagues happy.
It's nothing against Newcastle really, I actually don't mind your club, but I still don't think it's right.
Well i don't think it's right that one of our players gets borrowed and put out of action for a year losing us millions. The FA and FIFA earn millions from borrowing our players for their crappy internationals, IMO it's only right that they pay for the wages of players that get injured while under their care.
In theory, I agree with you. When Sporting players get hurt playing for Portugal, I get pissed. We end up without our own players that WE pay, no one else. The FPF should be compensating us, just as you've mentioned. I don't know about FIFA...although they're in the best shape to do so.
That isn't the case though, so I'm not sure why Newcaslte getting this allowance. However, maybe you're setting a trend, and in that sense I'd support that as it would help us out too.
BTW the FA is better than the FPF that actually deprived Sporting of Hugo Viana and Ricardo Quaresma a few seasons back in the Uefa cup against Milan. They had to play some match for Portugal while Sporting, that actually paid their salaries, wasn't able to use it's own players in Italy...the FPF said they would gain experience playing for the sub-20 or sub-21 which ever it was... fucks!
