Assuming I'm not a Barcelona fan, "at this moment", no he is not worth that much. But even in this bad form, I would easily break the transfer record for him, assuming he is willing to leave, Barcelona are willing to let him go, and my hypothetical club can afford him.

No player is worth 100 million EUR.
I would sell any player for 100 million EUR.

There the other question as well. Would Barcelona let him go for 100 mill.?
Cause the sum that is mentioned as given by Milan is around 90-100 mill euros.

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't let him go for that much. Especially because any time we sell him (even with terrible form and a falling out with the board or Rijkaard) we can get 35-40 million.

i would let him go at 30-40 if you are looking at his form the last year(actually longer). they should try something new because dinho doesnt seem to have the old spark and looks nothing like the player i saw when he started in barcelona. i think a move to italy and milan might get some of the spark back in him. and most important selling him would mean a change in style which i think is needed if barca want to continue on the top.

Yeah, but only because he'd be great for marketing. I don't think we've done enough as far as merchandise is concerned around the Wirral. That place is an untapped market as far as alice bands are concerned.

You bring up an interesting point in your first sentence.
Ronaldinho is the new Beckham. Everyone posting should consider that.

Good point, because someone like C. Ronaldo has similar quality and ability to impact a game, but in his own way. But IMO that change in style can also come by strengthening the defence and maybe getting a new midfielder in a season or two. Right now is too early to sell him...I am sick and tired of Barcelona selling their best players. For once the board needs to take a firm stand and really let ourselves be the leaders in terms of marketing and be the team that the glory hunters support, just because of Ronaldinho.

well to be honest i dont think the main problem is dinho but also that styles do get found out expect for the galacticos of course. and right now i think a change in midfield too would be good for barca.inesta is more direct and could be the solution but you need to change this sometimes.kas wrote:supermadrid(zizou legend) wrote:i would let him go at 30-40 if you are looking at his form the last year(actually longer). they should try something new because dinho doesnt seem to have the old spark and looks nothing like the player i saw when he started in barcelona. i think a move to italy and milan might get some of the spark back in him. and most important selling him would mean a change in style which i think is needed if barca want to continue on the top.

for example after we won the cl del bosque made a great change he gets little praise for. he changed zizou to the left so we had a better balance and give zizou the chance to suprise the opponents. that could help too right now but i dont who to move. esp messi is a hard case because i have only seem him work on the left wing while at other positions he isnt quite the same imo.3-4-3 could also be it albeit some new players.

I think the only future for 3-4-3 in this Barca is as a surprise tactic, or something to quickly change to within a game with a substitution or two, when we are losing.
If Ronaldinho does go, the change I had in mind was not necessarily Messi going to the left. It would be C. Ronaldo coming in, and then him and Messi swapping because both can play on either side.

I don't think we should sign him, but the rumours refuse to die down. After last season's missed attempt at getting Henry, I tend to believe that Laporta will be keen on trying again for another crack to add to the team, even though it's unnecessary and far too expensive.
But trust me, if Ronaldinho leaves, Ronaldo himself will not want to miss the golden opportunity to fill his shoes at Barcelona. With the money we'll get from any deal involving Ronaldinho, you won't be able to say no IMHO.

He's just about to sign another contract to take him up to 2012.
No offence but you are hardly Chelsea. If you sell Ronaldinhio for £60 million, if I was Fergie I'd ask for all of that for Ronaldo.
He may not be as good as Ronaldinhio but he's a lot, lot younger.

well if ronaldo himself wants to go to barca then they wont have to pay 50-60 mil euros.and im pretty sure barca knows that dinho is likly to leave because why else go for ronaldo.

Like I said, I have this feeling that Laporta wants us to sign someone big regardless of Ronaldinho's situation. I presume they're thinking of rotating the 4 of them, similar to the Henry situation last year. And if we get Ronaldo, then we will let Saviola leave and not replace him, since Ronaldo scores lots of goals and can also play as a 9.
Also, let's not forget that next year is the African cup so Etoo will be away for 2 months.
