Raid The Relegated

In recent years wonderstars having been relegated are available at a knockdown price. Usually Spurs benfit from this snapping up bargains like Carrick, Lennon and Defoe from the West Ham side that Glenn Roeder managed to relegate. Leeds had a similar exodus when they went down as did Juventus.

This summer the likes of Bent, Ashton, Tevez, Reo Coker and Jay DeMerit and Teddy Sherringham are likely to be available.

Who do you have your eye on for your side?

None of them.

Tevez would not fit into our style of play.

Bent is English. And Reo-Coker and Anton would rather be the gangster instead of behaving like a footballer.

Spurs, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa will have a busy Summer snapping these guys up.

Well, in Spain if Athletic, Nastic, and Real Sociedad were all to stay in the relegation zone and drop I'd be interested in Yeste, Javi Martinez, Llorente, Portillo , and Xabi Prieto.

Ashton or Bent would be good, that's pretty much it though. I'd consider Gabbidon but i'd rather have someone like Distin on a free.

Agger and Carragher, i'm sure we have a few young defenders that have just come in as well, can Arbeloa play in the centre? and Paletta hasn't really been given too much of a chance yet

Well it fucking has, we're going to finish midtable, below shite like Everton(how are they so high in the league?!), we flopped out of the FA Cup as soon as we could in embarrassing style and we've just gone out of the UEFA with a wimper, when we SHOULD have been through.

Roeder is mediocre, only losers settle for mediocrity.

, the reason is this:

1) Arteta and Johnson

2) they play a very good defensive game at home and then get fluky late deflections etc

3) they are shite away, but they can beat shit teams like Watford which gives them confidence for their next game and so on

I'd take Ashton and Tevez same as most people.

Benayoun aswell.

The biggest name players that will leave are Reo-Coker,Ferdinand and Tevez..

Anyone is welcome to the first two...but forget Ashton,Benayoun etc

Both goalkeepers plus your entire first team will be in the EPL next season, along with any youngsters who show the slightest promise in the next few months

You may not need to sell but money wont keep ambitious players quiet, CERTAINLY not past January

DeMerit is the Watford player most likely to leave.

If I was a Prem club outside of the big 4 I'd be seriously interested in Hameur Bouazza.

Can't think of any other Watford players worth much right now.

DeMerit may be worth a punt for the likes of Sheffield Utd. But for me he looks slightly out of his depth here. Van Persie made him look a fool at Vicarage Road at Christmas.

Bouazza is nothing special either. Another David Bellion.

Young was the star asset of Watford and he has gone.

Shittu doesn't look bad though.

Depends how much Charlton want for Bent. If it's less than £12 million we should go for it.

Do you really think the likes of Upson, Benayoun, Neill and Boa Morte will want to play in the Championship when they could quite easily be playing for a Premier League side challenging for silverware?

Maybe you don't need the money as much as last time you went down, but that wont stop players thinking about their careers and international prospects. Upson jumped ship once already, Neill has a release clause while Ashton, Ferdinand, Reo Coker and Green have England aspirations.

Nope I agree...but it doesnt mean every player will want to go....some will stay for at least 1 season...and if we come up we are sorted. Thats if we even go down...

And anyway...we won't sell everyone...
