Ronaldinho definitely staying at Barcelona Empty Ronaldinho definitely staying at Barcelona

Post by fcb Sun Apr 01, 2007 6:19 am

To dispel any final doubts, read these 3 interviews, especially the first one. It's from Txiki, our sporting director, and he mentions having a talk with Ronaldinho's brother, who's the one who keeps meeting with Milan and generating all these rumours. The other two are with Ronaldinho himself and the chairman Joan Laporta, with some quotes included from Ronaldinho's brother/agent.

    Txiki:

Sorry Kas I don't speak Spanish so it's a bit lost on me. Is the conclusion that it's all Dinho's bro upping the ante for the new contractt negotiations?

    Basically:

Txiki: Ronaldinho is staying and he happy here. He wants to continue to live here.

Dinho: I love it here, and I grew with the fans here and we have a special bond. All this contract things is for my brother, I just want to train and play.

Messi: Ronaldinho is perfectly calm and happy, it is the fans who are panicking.

Laporta: Ronaldinho can stay as long as he wants as he has given the club so much and he deserves to stay.

Roberto (evil bastard): The meeting was about the future and everybody should remain calm since the negotiations are going well.

So all in all, everybody loves eachother and nothing was decided :wink.

of course things are not always what they seem. i dont really think there is a problem with dinho and eto but as eto says there is some groups in barca. for me it seems more and more clear that he will leave. i mean his brother talks with milan recently and afterwards its said that the directors were happy. they will always denie things untill its clear.

ATM Milan won't even get CL football.. their team is in crisis, their president talks big but I doubt he has the money. Why would he want to join? Spanish taxes are much lower so we won't even have to match the wages..

well milan is a big club and there's a fair share of brazillians too. and they seem to be going for CL football even i hope they dont. also their president has promised to make a big money buy.and he is very wealthy so if dinho(brother) wants money he will get it. i hope dinho does move so he can get motivated again and hopefullty show his level.

one game is not going to mask how he been playing this season and last season imo. you can point to his goals and his once and a while good moves but he is not the same player that joined barca.

supermadrid: Wait till he has a rest this summer, then watch him again next year. He'll be back to the Ronaldinho of old.

And yes, Crazy58, everyone is happy and staying. Wins do that to the team. Etoo also gave an interview when he was in Cameroon for a friendly, saying the whole incident that blew up between him, Rijkaard, and Ronaldinho last month was just due to misunderstanding between the 3 of them. So even he's sensible about the whole thing.

good point... people expect him to be brilliant all the time.. no player in the world faces so much pressure.

Look at Zidane, he was pretty crap for the last 2 seasons, yet he wasn't abused at nearly the same level. Raúl hasn't looked himself in the last 3 years and still doesn't get nearly as much stick as Dinho.

Yup, look at Zidane's career in Juventus and RM. He was at his best for 3 seasons, the last one in Juventus and the first 2 in RM. Beside that he was just average with some moments of magic. And yet, Dinho get banished every single time that he doesnt score 2 or 3 or doesnt make some tricks or he doesnt assist couple of times in the games.

I doubt it, since a putting Dinho, Eto'o, Messi and Robben on at the same time would really cause us defensive problems. Robben would be a super sub.

Rijkaard would basically pick 3 out of the 4 of Messi, Ronaldinho, Robben, Etoo. And when the African cup of nations is going on, Saviola/Gudjohnsen/Palacio will play as the 9.

Luis is convinced half our squad will leave and that Eto'o, Villa etc will sign for Pool.. and don't think we are exactly on the same page Wink

half your squad or two players? I still remain very confident that either if not both will leave in the summer

What about Márquez, Zambrotta, Giuly and Saviola to Juve; Gio to Feyenoord, Thuram back to France, Dinho and Belletti to AC Milan, Messi to Inter, Xavi and Guddy to Man Utd, Deco to Chelsea, Eto'o to Liverpool, Motta to Fiorentina, Edmílson to Italy, Ezquerro to go back to the Basque country..

That leaves us with Valdés, Sylvinho, Oleguer, Puyol, Iniesta.. We are really in trouble.
