Haha, bloody hell Otto. How many more times? Laughing

Will you praise Rooney if Klose comes and they team up well?

The Andorran team were a bunch of pub players, shouldn't be allowed on a football pitch at that level.

that's probably what the Andorran postmen/plumbers... said about England

in fact, a friend of mine knows one of those Andorran hotshots and told me what they were talking about during the game

apparently, the hot topic of discussion was what the England players "did for a living"

most of them thought Gerrard was a fishmonger at ASDA, Rooney an apprentice truck-driver, Rio a doorman at Manchester's nightclub " Baden Baden" and Crouch an M&S model <Ale>

No. Rooney suits the way we play, much better.

    Has more potential as well.

It's obvious you can easily wind him up.The problem is he seems very dangerous as a human. Some players are tough in the pitch but gentlemen in the life.

I say to myself regularly :Maybe Fergie puts him every day in a cavern without food and alone and Rooney is free only during the football games and that's why he is so aggressive...Who knows ? <Ale>

Arnaud you are right; Wayne has to learn to channel his agression; God knows what's going on in his bedroom

after 5 minutes against Andorra he was already busy spending 50% of his energy insulting Andorran ski instructors

if he does not score , THAT's the main reason; he's somewhat distracted by those impolite foreigners Wink

Hum..Seriously now i heard Fergie ask all his players to practice the boxe.I have no doubt it can be great for having a better self confidence ect but sometimes his players are limit aggressive (Roy Keane-Schmeichel-Cantona-Rooney).

Or maybe the problem is that Rooney REALLY believes he is special and players have to let him score...Oh dear he can't be that stupid can he Otto mate ? Laughing <Ale>

He's quite shy and nervous really. You can see that in the interviews he does.

    Nothing like the media image.

I think with Euro 2004 nothing was expected and he probably even suprised himself. Now the pressure has got to him.

Hopefully with age, he'll get more used to it. You only have to see how good he can be in Friendlies.

If there is a funny side to this, England’s senior players missed it. Reports had Terry snatching back an England shirt that one teammate had exchanged with Sonejee at the end of the match.

Rooney needs a break to chill

I suggest a gap-gear travelling into the Amazonian Rainforest to learn about timber cutting

if he still has some excess energy, he could try to find the Nazi Gold in some Austrian lake

or he could walk to the North Pole in his Nike football boots (lots of marketing tie-ins)

or simply drop him in the middle of industrial China and let him find his way back; that should keep him busy Wink

That guy in particular deserved it. The two centre backs, the captain and the striker were all scum.

All he wanted to do was give players abuse and point in there face.

In France we say "qui vole un oeuf vole un boeuf" It means if you are able to do one little thing dangerous so there's no reason you can't one day do something very dangerous.I don't believe nerveous people can be very nice with maturity and all that. He'll unfortunately always be like that.A little story for you all (God i'm generous)

It's the story of a scorpion and a frog. There is river and the scorpion wants to go to the other side.He asks a frog "He mate i'd like to go to the other side. Can you help me...?"
The frog was very suspicious:"You're a scorpion and if i put you in my back you'll kill me"
The scorpion:"But it is stupid...If i kill you so i'll die with you.I can't swim"
So the frog accepted but in the middle of the traject the scorpion decided to attack the frog
The frog "why have you done that ? we will die together"
And the scorpion said "I did that cos it is in my nature"

In two words my point is that Rooney will always be like that. <Ale>

That Rooney is always going to be tempted to do stupid things on the pitch, even though he's aware that the consequences will be grave.

I remember an incident in the game vs. Israel (not the Haim one) in the 1st half where he lost the ball and chased down the player for a full 20 yards... it was like watching a car crash about to happen.

He shouldn't be starting for England. He's not mature enough to handle the pressure of being the main creative force.

Otto. Your right Rooney should command respect its about time he puts the fear of a Knuckle sandwich into the folks that want to wind him up.

George Best was like Rooney. Worse at times. It is destructive to say the least.
Rooney is capable of looking after himself. Mental abuse is as bad a physical abuse and should not be in the game but it is. Another form of cheating. Rooney should not hold back if players want to wind him up. He's big and handy enough to deck one of these mouthy players in the tunnel after the game. I bet you anything he would not be teased as often. Word gets around fast, good or bad at least they know when playing against him is it worth the trouble later.

Malcolm Macdonald England#9 striker in the 70's had a problem against Cyprus I think and did this very thing. It works.....Wink
