Half-time in each of the ties now, and from what you've seen of the 1st round, who do you think will progress.

For me:

Bayern Munich 55%-45% AC Milan (2-2)
Liverpool 99%-1% PSV (3-0) - I won't say 100-0 because you never know.
Manchester United 55%-45% Roma (1-2)
Valencia 45%-55% Chelsea (1-1)

The only reason I put us as slight favourites is because, despite what some people say about Valencia's home record, I can see us sneaking a goal and holding out for a 0-1 (providing we don't let Silva shoot from 35 yards again Wink

The match is perfectly set up for Roma to exploit. With a solid defence and midfield united will have a horrid night

well, this first leg was a nightmare for the teams who are fighting all battles, and a paradise for the ones that are just focusing in CL.

Hope 2nd leg changes that (except for PSV, its really impossible)

Maybe not that team. Worst QF performance in CL history. Aren't they getting a few players back though?

I always bang on and on about motivation and players' hunger being one of the most important factors in any match, and again we see that it's no different in these 4 games. I don't think we'll see anything change in the 2nd leg.

I actually think Bayern and Valencia are in a stronger position than people are giving credit for.

They actually only need a 0-0 to get through, which means they can have a clear game plan. Whereas chelsea and milan have to score at least 1 goal, thereby pushing forward and risking being hit on the counterattack, and both of them away from home.

Dont know about Milan, but Chelsea always score, no matter how badly they play. If Valencia think they can hold out for 0-0 they are kidding themselves.

Chelsea win so many games they shouldnt, because of the pressure they put on defences, I always expect Chelsea to score its infuriating, because they do so, so often.
