How many cups will Chelsea win?
This season they've already won the Carling cup, they could still win the champions league, the FA cup and the Premiership, but how many do you think they will win? just the one they already have? or could they pull off a tremendous quadruple!

Re: How many cups will Chelsea win?
Already won the League Cup
FA Cup and Premiership is still possible
Champions League looks tough at this moment for them
at this moment i say 2.

Re: How many cups will Chelsea win?
Obviously I don't know that, I don't know that Blackburn will get to the final or if they will beat United there.
I can predict though and for me this prediction isn't that ludicrous, after all no one expected Liverpool to win the champions league in 2005, these things can happen

Re: How many cups will Chelsea win?
I cant see for the life of me Blackburn beating Chelsea in the semis ..
if they do; hats of to them .. but the way Chelsea are playing .. it be foolish to write them off.

Not writing anyone off, you on the other hand are writing off Blackburn, don't forget on their day Rovers can be excellent defensively and the players will be extremely up for it, after all it's all they have left to fight for

Maybe so
Game will be at a neutral venue .. and Chelsea want to win a English double something they have never done before
plus; the last game in which Chelsea should have been taken to the sword was against Spurs in the Cup and we know what happened.
I'm not writing of Blackburn's chances but up against a form Chelsea side .. how many teams would beat them ?

I voted all 4. Although i reckon that the CL is quite difficult, we can actually do all 4. To the quadruple

Re: How many cups will Chelsea win?
I think that Chelsea will just get the one, but to remain in all four competitons, or 3 with one in the bag, up until now is a big achievement
The thing at the moment that i think will scupper Chelsea in both domestic competitions is simply the fact that Manchester Utd look the superior side - and will probably beat them in the cup and the league.
I don't think Chelsea will win the Champions League at the moment, mainly because they've left themselves with so much to do in Valencia, but if they can win at the Mestalla then anything is possible.

3 points with 6 games to go including United? IMO beating Valencia and then Liverpool is far harder

You mean the 'mickey mouse trophy' whose last 4 winners have been Chelsea, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool?

I have to agree with the madridista. What is the point of two cups? Why not have two leagues then, so that you have twice as many champions!!
(I assume that is the reason why you have two cups, more excuses for failing to deliver on the real competitions)

We don't play 2 legs though (excluding Carling Cup semi), like you do in the Copa del Rey, so the number of games even themselves out.

We'd get rid of it if we had a choice. No one actually cares about it now, apart from the small cubs who like the pay day.

Re: How many cups will Chelsea win?
I like the carling cup!
Spices things up in the earlier parts of the season
and whats all this about it being a mickey mouse trophy!?
if managers selections and crowd attendences are anything to go by its the FA cup thats becoming the mickey mouse trophy - although its clearly still bigger than the carling cup, its far less cared about
Still - i think thats exactly why we need the carling cup, so that the FA cup keeps its standing. With no "mickey-mouse" cup to go below it, the FA cup would become the lowest priority competition to the big 4 and consequently lose a lot of its appeal and mystique
