The Premature Scudetto Party!! Empty The Premature Scudetto Party!!

Post by bluenine Sun Apr 15, 2007 11:19 pm

Inspite of the rare hiccup today, Inter are still in course to settle the scudetto arguement when Roma come visiting on wednesday... a win would give Inter our 15th Scudetto!

The hiccup has almost costed us the chance of reaching the magical figure of 100 points in one season... its almost impossible now, coz Inter need 19 points out of the remaining 21 to make this happen....

But Inter are still looking good to win the scudetto in the next 7 days.

The party is about to begin!!!

yeah, nowadays it looks like Inter have decided to let the opponents dpo whatever they want in the first half, you know - let them also play and have fun, and in the second try and turn the result!

Useless wankers! Looks like Mancio gave them all a good dressing down at half time, and then the right team showed up. the first half was probably our worst performance of the season, but the second was right up there.

I hope we finish the season unbeaten. Its already 40 games upbeaten streak in Serie A... edging close to Milan's record of 58...

Yeah, I remember talking about it at that time, convinced that that record will never ever be broken. It was too fucking unbelivable.

I still don't think Inter would break it, even tho there is a chance. But it would mean another 20 games unbeaten, and thats never easy considering it will run over to another season and all the new variables.

But this Inter run has shown that anything is possible, and no record is unbreakable. The 17 game winning run was as remarkable IMO as the 58 game unbeaten run...

Can't see you reaching 100 points, nor breaking Arsenal's winning run. It will be very difficult to keep the team motivated once you beat Roma and win the scudetto.

Not taking any credit away from Inter & their achievements this season, this season was relatively easier.

But I must agree that Inter are a very formidable squad at the moment & are sure favorites for the next season as well even when Juve is back & Milan & Fiorentina are without any docked points

Surely you mean "Arsenal's unbeaten run"? Inter already has the winning run record!!

Yeah, I doubt Inter will be motivated after the scudetto is won... already we are seeing huge motivational issues (last 2 games), before that we were well on course for 100... still, we probably will set a record...

Winning a League with losing one match is still a tremondous effort. If they get over 100 points that would be incredible.

Lyon have dominated the French league for years now but they still haven't looked like they're capable of going through the whole season unbeaten. It's not an easy thing to do.

I guess this thread was a bit premature in hindsight Embarassed

I think what worked for Arsenal was that chelsea were giving them a chase... for Inter, this run included a 17 game winning run which took us far away from any competition... as expected, motivation became a issue, as the last 3 listless performances have shown.... even now after droping 7 point in the last 3 games, we just need 6 points out of the remaining 18 to win the title, and I can understand players feeling complacent. Its ok, the scudetto is all we care about now - we have broken enough records for one season Wink

And the coppa, of course, we need to teach Roma a lesson for delaying the party Wink
