Chevanton has proven himself wherever he has played.

I'm not suprised you hate French football but cheer up - Lille won't be in the CL next season so the panic is over for United Very Happy

Pierre has a point about the smith goal

rez keeps banging on about bad defeding by evra but nothing was as bad as the missed routine clearance by chivu for smith's goal

Come on COTR, the Evra error was far worse than Chivu, stretching for the ball and not getting enough on it. He would have cleared it on another day and it was a mistake but the passing before that were 8 outfield players touched the ball was magnificent.

However COTR the best goal I have ever seen, was Forlans against pool at Anfield simply magnifcent.

    Correct.

The picture above is of the opening game of the 1982 World Cup which finished Belgium 1-0 Argentina.

(I know this 'cos Belgium wore white shorts in '82 and red in '86).

Who raved on about Rooneys goal? His goal in Italy was much better.

    Classic strike ok

Belgium only won 1-0 in '82 due to a clearly offside goal anyway.

Failing to get enough on a ball while stretching compared to coming flying over and demolishing your team mate, missing the ball and leaving the oppisition player free to be one on one with the keeper.

    - failing to hit a ball that is travelling right onto your foot

    vrs

    - getting bamboozled by a bit of skill and at no stage having any chance to get a touch on the ball because kaka simply beat him to it.

the running into heinze happened after kaka had beat the two of them so is totally irrelevant. the key moment for evra was when kaka beat him to the ball
