Apparently they're violating FIFA rules trying to sign Klose. See the last post:

If there was only one team, united wouldnt have been able to save the image of CL football.
The game was apparently pretty boring (i didnt watch it), but everyone knew it was going to be like that.
It had nothing to do with teams from the same country a United v Arsenal SF would have had the whole world watching. The managers are from Spain and Portugal, the game would have been exactly the same, if the respective managers, were managing idfferent teams from Europe.
PS Bayern were just as bad if not worse than anything some had the misfortune of watching tonight.

How can you say that Utd. vs. Arsenal would have been exciting? For all we know even that might have fizzled out into a boring game with the nervousness that big games at this stage bring.

Both teams would have tried to win at OT we always go for it, Arsenal normally play great football (apart from that FA cup final and Villareal). The last two CL games at OT were big games, but look what happened, yesterday there were more goals in the 1st half than both SF last year (which contained Barcelona, Milan, Arsenal and Villereal). So I am pretty certain we would do our bit to entertain and I would expect Arsenal to do the same.

The game at Anfiield will be more interesting Liverpool have to score and Chelsea have enough good players not to resort to parking the bus.

I'm not denying that both of you would have "done your bit", all I'm saying is it would have come with a bit of caution given the significance of the match, and that *may* mean the game isn't that great.

In each of these games Liverpool were forced to attack because they were behind.

Anyway, to those who say Arsenal-United would have been a much better tie to watch, you can't be certain. Their games this year have hardly been mouth-watering and who can forget the fantastic 0-0 FA Cup final a couple of years ago?

Re: Chelsea - Liverpool
In the 2004 CL final Liverpool in truth were only putting up a fight for 1/5 of the game, the rest they were despereately defending against wave upon wave of Milan attack.
The FA cup final really had no competition, it was the best of the pst 5 or so years though

Re: Chelsea - Liverpool
Hate to bring up some facts too otto, but:
Average number of goals per game this season:
Chelsea: 111/57 = 1.95
Liverpool: 81/51 = 1.58
Bayern: 68/43 = 1.58
And yet Bayern are an attacking team, whilst Chelsea and Pool are boring and defensive.
