    Sven will be a brilliant option for either Palermo or Newcastle... tho I will be surprised if he doesn't go for a bigger club... I guess he thinks he can make Newcastle bigger...

    Apparently Palermo turned him down, which is a bit strange. I just hope he's still available when we finally get rid of Roeder.

    That has at least six players linked with moves to Inter. Do you need that many? Which of them do you want and who do you see leaving Inter to make room for them apart from those mentioned.

    Thanks to Moratti's crazy spendings in the past, every player worth his salt is linked to Inter every summer...

    Nah, all we really need is a replacement for Figo. Thats it. And I hope we let recoba go, we don't really need a replacement for him.... but it would be nice if Inter exchange him with Quagliarella Wink

    For Figo, it could me an AM or a RW, Deco/Mancini/Quaresma are the strong candidates apparently.

    If Chelsea takes Crespo back, then we need his replacement... Toni/Klose will be good.

    This is a crucial summer for Palermo.

    They can develop, but only if a few factors:

    They need to get rid of Zamparini, they need to get a manager who can react to different situations and has a clear objective. Guidolin started fantastically but after January, completely lost tactics and the support of the players. They need to keep the key players like Barzagli and Corini.

    They have an excellent first team, the squad needs some serious strengthening though, but Amauri will be fit for next season. That gives Palermo a fantastic attack of players like Amauri, Cavani, Caracciolo, Di Michele, Brienza, Bresciano, plus with players like Corini and Simplicio holding the midfield, it is not an inferior side by any means, pleanty of intelligence and variety.

    I think this time is final. Lazio are heavily linked to De Sanctis, a good move for both player and club that will be.

    Playing in the CL would do wonders for De Sanctis - the most under rated GK in europe.

    cheers

    Paolo Maldini has confirmed that he would play on for one more season, saying: "I will continue next season." The Milan skipper missed the 3-0 win against Manchester United, but said he would have an operation in the summer ahead of his final campaign.

    He has increasingly struggled with knee trouble, but said: "After the final, I will have an operation and I hope to be able to play what would be my final European Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup."

    The 38-year-old is recognised one of the greatest players of the last generation, and has racked up over 800 games for the Rossoneri.

    Maldini's legendary career extensions are masking the real issue that Milan do need a quality CB... not sure whether Bonera will make that role his own...

    Maldini = legend ok

    I am pretty sure even at 50 he will play better than Brown Wink
