The Mancs ARE third place finishers without all them injuries to Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea. I predicted #1 Liverpool, then Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal. However, the Mancs were saved by them injuries to the other teams.

That's why they wimped out of the CL just like that at the feet of Serie A 4th place (should be really 3rd without points penalty) Milan. <Ale>

What injuries have Liverpool had exactly? Not that many. Garcia and Kewell have never been that good in the Prem away from home for Liverpool anyway (which is where they have messed up).

But you can kind of fluke getting to the CL final. Winning the league though you generally have to be consistently good.
