Real Madrid, Boca Juniors and PSV are all following the latest promise to come out of South America…
The young gun in question is 16 year-old Reimond Manco, chosen as MVP of the recent Ecuador-based Under-17 South American tournament.
According to Peruvian daily El Comercio, the budding star is closest to PSV Eindhoven, the fact that Boeren striker Jefferson Farfán is also Peruvian is helping to oil the machinery.
Real Madrid are not far behind either, having reportedly offered $350,000 to buy out 70% of the player's federative rights.
Boca President Mauricio Macri is also rumoured to be preparing to snatch the jewel away from under European gazes and bring him to La Bombonera.
Manco currently plays for Alianza Lima, and VP Carlos Franco has already reacted to interest coming from the Spanish Capital with a warning.
"We have not received any proposal from Real Madrid and I also believe we will not as the FIFA rules stipulate that selling federative rights of anybody under 18 is not allowed", he stressed.
Alianza are desperate to hold onto the player, knowing full well that his worth will rise and rise as he reaches 18 – the only question is how long he'll stay.
