If your club went down like Juventus
Say their was a similar scandal in England and your club were the Juve of the league and were sent down which players do you think would leave? interesting question, it's basically a question of who is loyal

Carragher would stay. Possibly Finnan due to a lack of offers.
The rest would scurry.

Re: If your club went down like Juventus
Arsenal if we were in the Championship next season:
------------------- Fabianski
-- Hoyte -- Senderos -- Toure -- Clichy
-- Fabregas -- Diaby -- Flamini -- Walcott
------------ Adebayor -- van Persie
I think it would be safe to say that they players who are progressing in their careers would leave as they want to be at the very top and playing in Europe too. So with this I think Gallas, Henry, Hleb, Rosicky, Ljungberg and Gilberto would all leave and maybe a few others like Eboue.
We don't really have a Steven Gerrard, John Terry or Gary Neville figure that is a devoted one club man but I think players like Toure, Adebayor, van Persie and Fabregas all have Arsenal on their hearts and owe the club as we made them into big players. The rest of the team consists of youngsters.
I think that side would get promoted in its first season down.

Re: If your club went down like Juventus
Fucking hell, I may as well do "If you're club ends up going down on Sunday".
I think our team would be (from the players left)
--------------------Green-----------------
Neill----Gabbidon----Upson----McCartney
Benayoun----Mullins----Noble----Etherington
---------------Ashton----Zamora--------------
I think Carroll,Ferdinand,Konchesky,Pantsil,Mears,Bowyer,Reo-Coker,Boa Morte,Tevez,Cole and Sheringham would all be gone.

Not really, He said he is extremely happy where he is and loves every moment of it, and if we are relegated, he wouldn't leave.
Lucas Neill is too good to be a back up for Steve Finnan.

He can play centre back as well though can;t he?, we could do with one of them at the moment IMO, seeing as if Carragher/Agger get injured we're pretty much fucked, as Hyypia will be leaving in the summer no doubt

Yeah but again you're talking back up. Someone like Lucas Neill shouldn't be a back up defender.

Everyone except Oleguer and rubbish players like Ezquerro who wouldn't get signed by a first division team.

I'm sure most players would rather be a squad player for Liverpool than a first teamer in the championship, just the way it is and Niell would get plenty of games, if you consider the 4 cups we would be in and rafa does like to rotate

Yeah but why? We aren't talking Preston. He'd be a first teamer at a club who'd be likely to go staright back up if we went down, with 36,000 fans every week and he'd be the captain.

You can never predict that you will go straight back up, you don't know what relegation could do to some of the players, they could be affected bad by it but I see what you're saying

I'd agree.
Our strike partnership would be Vela-Bendtner or maybe with all the cash we'd sign someone.
We'd certainly go straight back up though

Our team would probably look like this. I think Parker, Duff, Owen, Martins, Emre, Dyer, N'Zogbia, Luque, and Babayaro would be gone.

Carr--Taylor--Edgar--Bernard
Solano--Butt--LuaLua--Milner

Maybe a bit to optimistic with Adebayor and van Persie.
Tweeds is right Bendtner has experience in the Championship so he would do well. Maybe well could re-sign someone like Kanu as well.

I agree largely with you Kimbo.
The one or two changes Id make are, firstly, I think Given could go. Hes someone who might get offers and if he got one from a big club, I think he might feel hes served his time, so to speak, at Newcastle and proven his loyalty, so would like to perhaps win something before his career is over.
Despite doing okay at left back, I personally wouldnt want Carr whatever the situation - I cant see many offers coming in, but I would get rid of him anyhow. Then whilst Milner wouldnt push for a move, I imagine he would get plenty of offers and might leave, whilst I cant see many coming in for Dyer unless the price was very low. And I dont actually think hed be the first to run out the door, though his wages would make him difficult to keep. A little bit of the same for Duff - I can see a few more people being after him but not for all that much, and I dont think hed be desperate to leave.

I think Given and Milner would give us a season to get back up. Given is pretty settled and has said that he'll still live in the area after he's retired, he's got his family who are from the area, and his charity is based here. I think it would take alot for him to leave.
