lol! Heitinga was offsides by 5 meters at least! lol!

Oh FFS! Now AZ are pushing up with only 2 defenders left at the back. The floodgates will open.

Why do they have these games when it's so damn clear the Eredivisie want Ajax in the CL? That Heitinga "goal" has got to be leading candidate for the most ridiculous "goal allowed" in the season. I couldn't wake up at 6:30am for this game so Setanta is showing it on tape delay. Biggrin <Ale>

lol! Nice counter by FIVE Ajax players on TWO from them AZ leads to an own goal.

Gotta feel sorry for AZ and their hard work for nearly an hour. Ajax couldn't cracked their defense so the ref does that for them by allowing a 5 METER OFFSIDE goal, and now the floodgates open. lol!

This is the first season I get to watch Eredivisie. Are you for real? You guys are used to seeing this dodgy decisions? This game could easily be scoreless until this point, but the ref gave Ajax a huge helping hand.

That offsides call wasn't even close. Heitinga was at least FIVE METERS OFFSIDES. Shocked

Biggrin Yes we are indeed, at least 10-15 decisions per year are in favour of the jews! It's just so obvious that the Dutch FA supports them.

Well the KNVB just wrote Ajax a cheque worth 12 million Euros by making sure it's them and not AZ going to the CL. There are some dodgy calls, but man, I just couldn't believe the linesman didn't call Heitinga offsides!lol!

People will argue that's just one wrong call, but that's exactly what threw AZ game plan out the window. All Ajax needed to do was win 1-0 (right?), the ref made sure they got their 1-0. AZ were forced to push up, and it was game over right there, easy pickings for Ajax.

Update then, Juventus in Serie A, Real Madrid in La Liga, Ajax in Eredivisie. Biggrin <Ale>

Ah right...the Skysports table had AZ 2nd for some reason...

Fair enough, Ajax deserve to be in the CL if they finished 2nd.
Still stupid play-offs. I f*cking hate them. What's f*cking point of playing a season then.

It was made so Ajax could always get a second chance at CL - both times at the expense of AZ

Nothing unussual there: he's just towing the Ajax-line.

The Jewish conspiracy is alive and well.

Fey, can you find the animation of ref Braamhaar cheering that Ajax goal?

Plus, in the Liga thread they're talking about the maletines (suitcases [with pay-outs]) to opposition clubs. It is also well known that Ajax payed teams that played against AZ 'incentives' and bonuses to do better.

And the ref screwed AZ from the KNVB cup too!

“We are left empty-handed after a great season” - Louis van Gaal

"The group has done a fantastic job (this season).” - Henk Ten Cate

Louis van Gaal admitted at the press conference that AZ enjoyed a great season, but added that feelings of disappointment prevailed after AZ were left empty-handed, following Sunday afternoon’s 3-0 defeat against Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena in Sunday afternoon in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League qualifying play-off.

“We controlled proceedings, until Ajax evaded our offside trap and the game was turned upside down in the space of a few minutes.”

At the post-match press conference Van Gaal explained that there are decisive moments at and around a sporting event. “And we failed to pay attention at those particular moments. If you want to win top games in Holland, you must outwit your opponents to avoid slipping to defeat after all.”

Van Gaal did not mind AZ’s congested fixture list of 56 official games in the 2006-2007 season, five of them against Ajax. “We will benefit from the experience and learn a lot from our mistakes. I don’t mind meeting Ajax five times in one season. You learn from competing in top-level games. But I think the play-offs should be organised differently in order to ensure a fairer and more honest course”, referring to a ‘best-of-three’ competition, as he had pointed out before.

Gaal was struggling with ‘feelings of disappointment’. “For at the end of the day we are left empty-handed after a season with great performances.”

"We never met expectations in the first half”, said Ajax coach Henk ten Cate. ”But after the break we put in a convincing display, frequently winning the ball in midfield. Eventually we have met this season’s objectives and feelings of contentment prevail after a tough year.”

"We have won the Cup, played for the title until the final second and we qualified for the preliminary round of the Champions League”, "We are very happy now.”

"We were very strong. We won almost all the challenges in midfield. And up front, Huntelaar was particularly fantastic.”

"I have to give my team a big compliment”, Ten Cate said about the season. "It was not always easy this first year, but the group has done a fantastic job.”

Just saw it, the match was dire, but Louis....well he was amazing again. That guy provides so much fun, he was really on form today! But he was right about that offside goal though. They really should make a DVD of this man, with all his interviews! Shame Co doesnt come back to Holland a press conference with those 2 would be top notch. Biggrin

Sadly not yet on youtube. But I bet it will be.

Van Gaal was bitching about the offside goal, about every decision that went against them in the big games (he's right though); somewhat about Ten Cate (Ajax coach), about the ref, giving a standing demonstation to the press, and then finishing it up with bad mouthing a couple of (Jew) journalists.
The press officer had to stop the conference.

    Priceless indeed.

Till then you have a classic Van Gaal moment against FC GRoningen's Ron Jans Biggrin
