Good squad. Interesting to see that there are one or two omissions.

    Who will captain the side?

I know, I know, I never let it go...but no Liedson with that forward line-up?

Come on, Liedson wouldn't even brake a sweat to get into the 11.
Still can't believe no Anderson Polga at the back either...but hey it's his squad.

Interestingly enough, their agent has just said that Dunga has confirmed he's been watching them both and that they could soon be in the squad. If their contracts were almost up I'd understand his motives for making this up, but as is, I don't see the point...maybe Dunga is considering them...although I really don't see what's left to consider.

Injury did not help him , wandering if Dunga sees a future in him.

some starters are out: júlio césar, lúcio, luisão (occasional starter), fred. but luisão's brother, alex silva, was called.

I have no idea what Dunga is planning.

I really think Sóbis is $h!t. no way he can be a brazil starter.

Sobis just came back from a lengthy injury. But he has had a very disappointing season for Betis.

Interesting to see no "true" strikers there apart from Alfonso Alves.

don't know. many people in Brazil like him. but being a good striker isn't enough to be a starter for Brazil. Leônidas, Amarildo, Jairzinho, Careca, Romário, Ronaldo... I mean, we need a striker to honour our tradition. ok

Betis is a good move for Sobis. He's only 21, and being at smaller team eases some of the pressure of coming into European football.

Still no Ronaldo - shame, he is Brasils best striker still. I wonder if he'll ever play again.

    Who's Josque?

WTF...I've already seen a dozen pundits criticising Dunga for calling up Afonso. Tell me a single brazilian striker who had a good season, just a good season, not a very good one. Vagner Love, Jo, Adriano, Sobis, fat Ronaldo at Madrid, Fred, Luis Fabiano. They were average at best. Right now there isn't a a good striker playing in the brazilian league(nilmar is injured). Afonso has scored more goals than all them put together but he is not good enough to be called up. I hope he shut up his critics.

No, Ronaldo is still out with his injury. Sobis is the one who just got back from a long layoff.
