What, they booked flights to Athens before playing Milan in the 2nd leg? Idiots.

I'm not accepting all this criticism though. If we were clinical, we could have scored 3 or 4. Shame. Sad

You had to expect the berating, people have been wanting this for ages

I don't care. You win some, you lose some, and we were by no means poor. People can say what they like, because two champions league finals in three seasons disagrees with them Ale

    From the Guardian

If Jermaine Pennant and Bolo Zenden were postmen in your district, you'd wake up every morning to find parcels in your shrubbery and letters strewn all over your lawn: that's how bad their delivery is.

I thought Pennants delivery, particularly in the first half, was OK (apart from the one he duffed to Gerrard that he had to try and volley). The problem was that Kuyt was too often alone in the box and was well handled by the Milan central defenders.

Pennant was less successful in the second half because he kept trying to cut inside.

Zenden - Cr@p but as I said elsewhere, Gattuso would have broken Kewell if he'd have started.

I agree-whats with the Pennant abuse? He was Liverpool's best player in the first half and coped very well I thought for most of the game.

Its such a fine line, had Liverpool won with the free kick not getting deflected and Gerrard putting away his chance, he'd ve been lauded for his contributions during the match

It's just beyond me, it's too difficult to understand what they're thinking....

For a Dutch fan it works like this : if a manager plays a player who no one rates or who is played in the wrong position and that player lives up to that expectation.....we blame the manager.

The Liverpool fans blame the player Doh
