Your Favourite Club Survey!

I dunno whether its been done before, I just wanted to check how well the big clubs and leagues are supported here.... and how many people support a club or a big league... this will give us a good idea of the representation of people on this MB, at least among the active posters...

3. Why do you support your club?: Started watching Serie A in mid 80s coz it was the best league, liked what the team stood for, and the great title winning season just converted me.

1) Milan

2) 1987/88

3) I grew up around Italians, and I loved Milan ever since I first saw them. One of our very good family friends also supported Milan, and he regaled me with tales of Rossoneri feats.

Couple that base with Baresi, Maldini, the Dutch trio…and yeah you get the message.

Well the club I have most passion for is Stockport.

I've supported them since I was about 6, so 1989

Why? Well the first game I went to was a Stockport County V Brentford game - I don't live near Stockport, although an uncle does live there (hence why I went to watch them V Brentford - we went with him)

1) Bayern

2) Since I can remember. Early 80s.

3) My older cousin was a Bayern fan. Plus the first book I ever read was Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's biography.

1) Real Madrid

2) 1989/90 season

3) The first professional match that I ever saw was Logroñes-Real Madrid from the 89/90 season. Madrid won 1-5 with Hugo Sanchez scoring three. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Supported Real Madrid and only Real Madrid since that day.

2. As long as I can remember...I guess I only understood football since about '95/'96 not sure. First game about this time too.

2. 2000 since I really started supporting any club
3. It's the closes club to my home and it's also a club almost erveryone has sypathy for. Also my dad isn't really into football but he hates Feyenoord and Ajax. PSV wasn't choice. So I ended up with the best club for me-->Sparta Rotterdam

2. Since I was a young lad!

Well they did and still do .. sexy football is a art , and to distinguish it from average football is easy.

Since I started watching football, about 1990-91.

I live in Bucharest, about 15 min from the stadium so it was the natural thing to do.

3.Local club, club charisma and biggest representative of the city (along with Port wine, but we only give the name) and almost all my family are Porto supporters.

2. Since 1981 is as far back as i can remember (may have been even before - as i cant remember not ever supporting Man Utd).

3. Because i WAS Bryan Robson when i was a kid. Let me explain. When we were kids, we used play a game called 'Wall Game' - which was kicking the ball against a desgnated area of a wall (school/park), the objective being one touch and you MUST ensure the ball is hit within the spefic area, only one touch allowed and each kid takes a turn, from wherever the ball goes after the previous person hits it - if a player cant strike the ball in the area or takes more than one touch - they are out. Up to 5 people was about max.

Anyway, we used be called by our fave players names...my couseins used to be Ian Rush and or Kenny Daglish, Paul Marined etc....i was ALWAYS Bryan Robson.
And now i am the Head of The Redbloods.

1. Arsenal

2. I suppose I have always supported them, although if I had to give a year it would probably be fair to say 1990, as that was when I first started going to matches at Highbury.

3. All my family on both sides are Arsenal supports and lived in Islington, and there are eight season ticket holders in my fairly close family. I have never 'picked' Arsenal, I've just always supported them. Also, I've always lived in or near London as well.
