2. It was around 1991/1992 that I started to take a big interest in Arsenal

3. And that was mainly down to my Uncle who got me into football to begin with. He always took me down to the local Park for me first kick abouts. He was a huge Arsenal fan and told me about the past players and the history and heritage of the club, he must of wanted me to become an Arsenal fan. He took me to my first game as well. My Arsenal interest went on from there......

1)West Ham United

2)Since I was 7/8 (1996 was my first game at home to Leeds)

3)I come from a family which is half Tottenham and half West Ham. Despite my dad buying me Spurs shirts with Klinsmann and Anderton on the back...within a year I was converted by my Uncle who took me to Upton Park. From that moment on I've been a West Ham fanatic.

Also the fact we have tradition for producing good players, playing decent and entertaining football etc...

3. Interesting (long) story:

As a kid growing up I was only into cricket, tennis, and other racket sports. Never really enjoyed football, never watched it, never played it, just didn't know anything about it. The only time I had watched was some brief goal highlights of Italia 90 in the news, and the 1994 World Cup final. And I also watched some highlights of Euro 96, and always sung the "It's Coming Home" song, not really knowing what it meant

Then in Year 7 (Oct. 1996) we went on a weekend camping trip with our school, and one of the teachers there was a Man. Utd. fan, and started telling us the next day about how he was missing a huge match between the top two of Man. Utd. and Newcastle that day. So when I got home a couple of days later, I was browsing through the newspaper and saw that Newcastle won 5-0! This amazed me, because that teacher had gone on and on about how great Man. Utd. were, and how they would stuff Newcastle, etc. So that was my first realisation that football can actually be interesting and throw up shock results. From that point on every weekend I would curiously read the Premiership scores in the newspaper.

Then around April/May 1998, we got a new cable TV package at home. One day I was just flipping channels during dinner, and began to watch a Barcelona match (I think it ended in a draw, and it was against Atletico Madrid). But I was absolutely fascinated - the passing was swift and short, the players were so skilful, there was so much excitement and passion, and from then on I began to watch Barcelona (and football) whenever possible. So for me, Barcelona *is* football

A couple of months later was also the World Cup, and I started watching the matches regularly - there the Holland team really captured my attention, partly due to their orange shirts, partly due to their great football, and partly because I recognised so many players from Barcelona
So that just made me look forward to the next season even more...98-99 was my first proper season as a football supporter (unfortunately it was the beginning of 5 trophyless years for Barcelona!).

So now I'm a big Barcelona fan, and still stick with the old tradition (though nowadays with the Internet rather than newspapers) of "following" Newcastle. And all this despite being a latecomer to football.

Ages.
Live in London, but go to Spain a lot, especially Valencia. Didn't go to football much before. Liked the Mestalla. Sociedad second team because first ground I went to in Spain and their fans and atmosphere was special.

3) The first professional match that I ever saw was Logroñes-Real Madrid from the 89/90 season. Madrid won 1-5 with Hugo Sanchez scoring three. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Supported Real Madrid and only Real Madrid since that day.

2. Since 1990, the World Cup at home was my first sporting memory and started my love with football, the first match i remember is Italy beating Austria in Rome with a late Toto goal, but obviously the whole country was caught up in world cup fever and it was infectious and impossible to avoid!

3. My granddad used to take me to Home matches at San Siro when i was young and is still a ticketholder, my whole family on my mothers side are Milan fans anyway, the rest support our native Brescia - we are originally from Trenzano Pirlo is our most famous native son from Flero!

3. unlike many i didnt enjoy football until latter. first match i saw was Real against valencia. i didnt even know it was a cl final or what that meant. only remember the raul goal and that was all it took for me and i watched all of their games the following season.

I think Id spport arsenal anyway though because there is something irressitible about the club.

Strictly speaking, there was a 5 year gap. My grandad came over after the war from germany and immediately got a season ticket.

He died in 1990. My dad refused to buy ST's. But then in 1996 my brothers were offered a pair of ST's by some family friends who emigrated to America. So I didnt miss out

2. supported them since i was about 6-7 but never really got into it (buying jerseys, following whats going on with the team) until i was around 10 so around 99-00
3. hugo sanchez! all i ever heard about when my uncles and cousins would watch a game. it stuck and he was a legend at realmadrid and one thing lead to another

1. Primarily Arsenal, though I also support Barcelona in La Liga.

2. Supported them as a child (won't say exactly when as it'll be telling but I will admit to seeing George Graham, Charlie George and Frank McLintock play live), and resumed supporting them when I got back into football some years ago.

3. Have lived in North London more than half my life so they are my local team. Also they play the best football in England. I support Barca for the same reason.
