On an Atleti Forum run by some Germans, with a number of european posters posting in an english section too, there have been at least 5 posters say that he is one of the best Left Wingers in the World. I´ve tried to point out his flaws but they are blind to it, or is it just me and do you think they are correct?

Petrov has got to be one of the most inconsistent palyers that I have ever seen. He can have an absolute blinder for 5 mins and then go missing. He seems to have a strange idea of trying to chase every single lost ball instead of saving his energy for pressing the opposition. Sometimes it seems like he is playing for the public/fans rather than the team. I know it sounds strange..

Is there a "Only against Barca" option, like there should be for all Atletico players?

I afraid not, i mean he's VERY fast... but then so is Aaron Lennon(i'm not saying he's as bad as Lennon though).

Its hard nowadays to find many top quality left wingers and although Petrov is very good he is a bit inconsistent from what ive seen.

I agree 100% with what Oleguerisntthatbad said. And id like to add the fact that Petrov is a fuckign nutcase. Did anyone see what he done against Albacete ? Aguirre said if he done that in a liga match he`d make him walk home
I think Patetico should sell Petrov and sign Delporte from Osasuna, class player Delporte and he`s got a wonder left foot.

No he isn't when you compare him to other wingers aroung Europe, howver, he is a very good player in La Liga, who could easily cut it in European competition.

An Albacete player made a hard tackle on him and won the ball, Petrov decided to chase him down the pitch and push him over infront of the ref then moan and insult the ref and get himself sent off. Aguirre couldnt believe it. Its gonna be really funny this season with Aguirre at Patetico, he always has great press conference after the game when his team loses.

i assume lsr is referring to the getafe game on saturday, he got fouled followed the player and pushed him, the ref booked him so he gobbed off at the ref and got a second yellow and was off and pretty early doors too, silly tw@t

we had players missing you didn´t and it was also only a few days after the teresa herrera so hopefully we were taking it easily, it´s only pre-season. we´ve only lost once to milan a few draws and a few wins so not too bad, the worst bit for us is our lack of fitness prep inmho with all our globe trekking

We lost 1, against Villarreal 1-0 the rest we won or drew oe went to penalties. I think both our teams have the same problem, we both need a player to move the ball around in the mid. Im not sure if Diarra is capable of that cos i havent really seen him play every week. Same goes for Maniche, i dont know if he is the right type of player for moving the ball around.

he hasn´t done his chances with aguirre much good this weekend, and its rumoured he´s minded to get rid if we could delporte from osasuna as lsr has said, it´d be a good move imho
