Yup. I think it will happen too.

    Today's article.
'Tottenham wil Sneijder voor vijftien miljoen'

    8/6/2007 22:30

If he goes there I'll have to put him in my FF EPL team.

They'll probably end up playing him on the left though to cover the problem position. Could he play that role?

Well a better offer wont come from another team. So ajax have to accept it. Still is it really an improvement? No CL, never to challange for the title.

I mean, this shows again what's wrong with the football of today. How can players from our top teams go to teams like Spurs, w-ham, boro etc.

If Midget got any brain, he stays another year at ajax, then walks out away for free. So he can join the likes of Barca, Milan, Manchester etc.

He can play it, but its not his best position. Sneijder is a #10 foremost - play him elsewhere and he's not as effective/deadly.

he can do the job though, more than above average. He's better on the right though.

    A better spurs line-up

What I also don't understand is why we have to sell our players for 15m euro (9m pounds) while he could easiliy get 14m quid, if not more if they hold him hostage.

By selling our players (who are balatantly better than much of the dross clogging the league) so cheaply, we never make any steps of improving our league with more money. Instead we become a feeder (the best Rolling Eyes ) league for the bigger ones.

Fucking hell - Parker 7m, Barton 9m, Bent 18m... something's really wrong with this world. Sneijder now is at the same level as Deco at his peak + better shot. And Midget will only get better.

If Midget is smart he'll stay put.
Otherwise, let them funnel some of that 30m TV money this way.

I don't think Jenas could play there, so it may be a problem.

However it often looks with Spurs that they are playing 4-3-3, with Berbatov, Keane and Lennon as the forward 3. Keane can operate cutting in from the left.

    Maybe

    ------------------- Zokora

    ---------- Jenas ------------ Sneijder

    ----- Lennon ------------------------ Keane

    -------------------- Berbatov

Just need width from the fullbacks.

That's a good one. Sneijder can also cut inside to #10 spot and influence the game even better from there.
That one looks like a winner.

Yeah, and its bad for England as well. Look at those top 4 clubs, you cant barely make a national squad out of those 4 teams Shocked

But when you see the prices that the pay for just really average players like Reo-coker, Bent, Parker and the likes!!! It makes you wonder! Look, I understand Midget will get much more money there. But what is the point in having more when you are a millionair anyway Suspect

Besides, I just look at the midfield you suggested for Spurs. That would become overrun in the EPL! The link Berbatov-Midget is decent, but Jol has to sacrefice average players like Keane with huge ego's for that!

So the good thing about this deal, is that we wont have to see his annoying face all the time Biggrin

    fey,
from that midfield, only Berby and Midget are proven. Zokora has talents (not shown yet in EPL, but is a good/great DM) and Keane is a subtopper. Lennon is all promises still, and the same story for Jenas.

The axis would have to revolve around Midget to Berby or to Keane.

Functioning as the devil's advocate, in defense of Fey, Keane would be considered a subtopper in the netherlands. That means he's good enough for a top 7 side, or good enough for a top side, but not as the main striker.

IMHO, keane is in a no-man's land between subtopper and top striker.

Defoe on the other hand is just a subtopper, no less and certainly no more.

    No, weak spot. Very Happy

I'd agree with DD, he's a very good striker but not in the top bracket even in the Premier league.

First choice for a team 5th to 8th in the league, back up if he played for one of the top 4.

Better than Alan Smith & Craig Bellamy though IMO.

Strikers better than keane in the EPL:
Henry, RVP, Berbatov, Rooney (still), Martins

Keane is better than most of the rest even though I'd have trouble deciding if he's really better than Anelka and Saha. Viduka is another close call, but for consistancy alone I'd prefer Keane.

Pretty much agree though. I'd pick Anelka and Saha over him but thats because we have Rooney who plays the same role as Keane.

What do you Dutchies make of that!

I have been dissapointed by him over the last few years it must be said, I remember when he scored at Highbury in our Champions League fixture and he appeared to be a very promising player.

He *has* to leave HSV, that's obvious...he might do a resurrection at a new club though. It's a gamble getting him, but it just might pay off.

Jaakke: 'Sneijder blijft gewoon bij Ajax'

    9/6/2007 19:28

First go to Ajax from AZ. Then he leaves after a year, which was more predictable then a Chelsea-Liverpool draw, and choose for Feyenoord…but he changed that as well. Erm

Btw, does PSV ever produce its own players!? The have Aisatti and Affalay now, but that’s about it. And both really are made of glass.
