    7. Inter have a bigger fan base than Arsenal.

Wouldn't be so sure...Arsenal have massive support.

Are you forgetting the 1-5 in the CL there Bluey Wink

So you and tweedy agree with the first 6 points?? Wink

No, the 1-5 we remember... do you remember the 3-0 at Highbury??

    5-4 on aggregate Wink

the first 5 points are undeniable.

the financial point is vague in that if you counted all assets, Arsenal would come out on top - if you look at transfer budgets, Inter have more money though.

Point 7 is just plain wrong Ale

I do agree with the other 6...and I do remember the 3-0 at Highbury. My youngest brother (his Italian team is Inter) was a very happy boy after watching that.

    Facts can be very misleading.

    Already spoken about that.

bluenine wrote:2. In their domestic league, Inter won the league with an all time record point score, breaking many many records on the way. Arsenal finished 4th!!
Already done that too, I refuse to repeat myself!

Inter are 4th, Arsenal are 5th. Its very marginal. Chelsea are below us both but they are better than both Inter and Arsenal.

Of course, there is no arguments there. Ajax and Bucharest also have a great history and heritage, does that mean anything in the present about how they would do in a Euro League?

    Fair enough.

Doesn't always guarentee success though as Liverpool and Porto have proved down the years

What I am trying to say is that Inter are clearly better than Arsenal in ALL the parameters that you can use to judge..... I don't thionk you are even close... its similar to a comparison between Roma and ManU.

And what make you think Chelsea are better than Inter?? In what way exactly?? You guys need to realise that there is a world outside EPL!!!

As for larger fan base, I guess neither of us have any evidence... what I do know is that:
    1. Inter are the most popular european club in China
    2. Inter are the most popular Italian team outside Italy (Juve are most popular in Italy).

I can infer from the above two points that Inter's worldwide fan base would rival ManU, Milan and Real's, if not bigger... Arsenal would be a bit behind...

Inter most popular European club in China? lol!

I'm sure you'll show me some survey or the other, but it seems like every club has one of those that claims they're the biggest in the far east, and we all know that's blatantly false. Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, and Man. Utd. are all much bigger.

And Arsenal has a huge fanbase in America, Inter's is non-existent.

    There is.

However Chelsea have appeared in three Semi Finals in the Champions League over the past four seasons. This is what my argument is based on.

    Hardly.

We're just not up Serie A's arse.

Inter until this season hadn't won Serie A for God knows how long and this season they had an easy run of it.

Chelsea have as Cesc said, got to the semi's in three of four seasons - so it depends what time frame you're looking at it over.

If one year, then Inter and Chelsea are level IMO.

    If 3 years then Chelsea>>>>Inter

    If 5 years then Chelsea=Inter

    If 10 years then Inter>>Chelsea
