I remember that match clearly. Rijkaard gave Voeller one with phlegm.

Maybe a few decades back in time...nowadays there is no rivalry. My country is destined to collapse. Corruption all over the state, a fake democracy(where votes are bought), a political class with the reasoning of a 3 year old and a system that prevents any honest, intelligent person from getting involved. Now sure Brazil does share some of our stigmas but at least they don't f@ck up their economy as we do and they do have some sense about what country they want to become in the long term. IMO, southamerica will only come through the day Brazil becomes so big that it will drag the rest of the countries from the water.

Yeah, we always got along well with the Mexicans. There are quite a few similarities also, Mexico is traditionally well organised and tactically very disciplined, especially if you compare them to other American (North and South) teams.
But we do get along well with the Americans also. As far as the structure is concerned, the MLS was heavily influenced by the Bundesliga, and a lot of American players have played in Germany in the past.

Strange world.

That would explain why 2 out of Otto's every 3 posts are centred around villifying the English?!

Our special ...love for Holland will never die though. England comes second by some distance. However, it's more of a love-hate relationship with the Dutch, they are our smaller brother to the West, a spoiled brat you can say, and we always respected and liked their football (not mutual...)
