Best atmosphere I've ever witnessed. The stadium felt like it was literally rocking.

4. Newcastle's - St James

Saying that, the old Estadio da Luz was a great stadium
Semi final for the old CL, Benfica x Marselha. 1990. What an atmosphere's...

Strange they would put Camp Nou in the list. It has a horrible atmosphere. You'd swear there was a funeral going on there sometimes.

Anfield is just so overrated, its a $h!t dump to be honest. And the atmosphere.....they only sing their scouse song and holding a scarf above their heads.
So overrated.

As if the Cuernabeu has good atmosphere. Apart from a bunch of neo-nazis in the south stand nobody sings, normal fans just use their fucking airhorns.

Re: Best ground in the world ?
Anyone been to Messina Pelora's Stadio San Filippo. Interesting stadium. It is pretty good, but sadly Messina was not able to fill it, so atmosphere was awful. Also strange location. Not actually in Messina. Real trek to get to. Public transport difficult. Still hell of a nice stadium. Facilities were good.
Most interesting I've been to for a while is Lyngby. Very small stadium. Facilities stone age, but good atmosphere. So close to pitch practically playing!
I liked Helsingborg's Olympia Stadium. Good facilities and atmosphere. Best atmosphere I've been at is Olympiacos. Good stadium too.
Palermo facilities terrible but absolutely great views from stadium and previously great atmosphere. Sadly you now get better astmosphere at a funeral! Enbjoyed Hamburg, Old Trafford too. Strangely little to no atmosphere at Parkhead when I went.

I've never liked Old Trafford really..its $h!t..just big. First time I went it was great, just for the fact I could say i'd been to Old Trafford. Its rubbish really though, seats are bad, concourse is scruffy, they have some $h!t radio station playing all the time over the speaker system..and the atmosphere is usually $h!t aswell.

When did you go to Old Trafford? I went to England v Spain. It was a case of nice stadium, reasonable atmosphere, fans tried hard to lift team, but England were terrible. Couldn't complain about facilities. If that radio station was playing I blocked it out. I would say that taking numbers into account Spanish fans created more atmosphere, but after a while the absolute crapiness of England's performance took its toll.

That's the thing I really like about the Bridge too. It's unfortunate that you went to Chelsea v Rosenborg and couldn't go to last seasons Chelsea v Barcelona/Liverpool Champions League games because the atmosphere on both of those nights was buzzing.

From my experience Anfield had a much, much better atmosphere than Stamford Bridge & the Liverpool fans were friendly before/during/after the game, Chelsea fans were the opposite.

Isn't there a saying that goes something like "People should always smile when they take* your money."?
