I wouldn't mind knowing Ferguson's magic touch when it comes to these type of results. No surprise to see Liverpool come bottom.

Jesus talk about kicking someone when they're down. We've got it bad enough with Lrd and Spanky frantically searching for an optimistic comment from a Liverpool fan to bump. Now the random neutrals are getting stuck in. Sad

    Where to start though? Yikes

    Booing your team off.

Gerrard assisting another goal to the opposition.

    4-5-1 at home against Wigan?!

    Rafa on his way out.

Would include out of the title race but thats old news.

Probably explains why Liverpool are so awful with these type of results even if it doesn't given the whole picture. Make's Carragher a total waste of space, which doesn't bode well for the future anyway.

Its one of the things I quite funny with the Pool fans. They keep celebrating their great defensive record and clean sheets. What they fail to see is that they are a defensive team with good defenders (not counting Riise) rather than a balanced team with great defenders. They may concede less goals overall but when they need to go out and score, their defense is more likely to concede than ManU's in the same situation.

The actual topic though is complete rubbish, as Arsenal have been involved in fewer of these matches than United.

What that shows, is that altho we may be marginally worse in situations like these, we end up in them less often, which is better.

Well it's not really accurate just going by these numbers...some of those 1-0's may have been pure luck because the other team couldn't finish? Or maybe the 1-0 was not a result ground out, but a comfortable match that could easily have been 5-0 on another day?

The point of the thread is true though, Liverpool just haven't done what they needed to. Also important to consider the two bad results against Marseille and Besiktas in the CL that also affected league results.
