    Saturday, 12 January 2008
    Arsenal v Birmingham, 15:00
    Aston Villa v Reading, 15:00
    Chelsea v Tottenham, 15:00
    Derby v Wigan, 15:00
    Everton v Man City, 15:00

    Sunday, 13 January 2008
    Bolton v Blackburn, 16:00
    Sunderland v Portsmouth, 13:30

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not the most exciting but not the least exciting Premier league weekend really, United Vs Newcastle should be interesting, United will no doubt win 4 or 5-0 and Alladyce will be sacked the day after.

Everton play City and have a chance to stake a claim for the top 4, something that City have already done.

Liverpool will draw 0-0 at Boro as usual.

Arsenal to rape Birmingham at home

Chelsea to get a late winner against Spurs.

Everton vs Manchester City should be quite an interesting game...both teams in pretty good form, and both have a chance to overtake us and get into the top 4. Other than that, this gameweek isn't brilliant.

Spurs for us. No Drogba to make a mockery of Ledders but with Robinson in goal we always have a chance of scoring from distance.

Hopefully Cech is back and 100% fit. It'll be nice to have the old Cech back to his best in goal.

If you want to be in the top 4 at the end of the season then you can't hope for a draw at every game against a side in the top 8.

sure you can. 70 pts should be enough for 4th. you could lose every single game against the top 8 but if you beat the bottom 12 home and away you'd still have 72 pts, enough to get there in any previous season.

It's great for English football that, a team parking the bus every time they face a 'big team' rather than showing their actual class and why they deserve to be in the top 4.

Boro at away should be a another mind numbing draw.
I don't think we have won at the Riverside in Rafa's time here Rolling Eyes

    My team:

    -----------------Reina

    Finnan-----Carra---Hypia------Riise

    Pennant---Gerrard--Masch--Kewell

    -------------Crouch----Torres

So that line up really means it'll be Voronin or (sigh)Kuyt.

I think they may return against Boro, not quite sure. It's desperate times at the back, a team without Arbeloa, Aurellio or Agger will concede far more than a team with them

What does Benayoun offer seriously? I know he's a good player but he has one good game every 5 and seriously lacks the confidence or decision making to be effective. He can dribble and dribble and dribble with the ball and then.....pass back or lose it, at least Garcia scored goals. Pennant needs to score more too I wont deny it but I feel he's more dangerous than Benayoun and has more potential IMO

Benayoun can offer you what Pennant can plus more of a goal threat. He may be lacking confidence but this is due for him not having a run in the team, Liverpool will win the game if the 3 of Benayoun, Torres & Babel start, 110% guarantee.
