What is this! I just found out that Wenger and Ramos were monitoring Juan "El Loco" Vargas yesterday when he helped his team Catania eliminate Milan from Coppa Italia.

It's been known for quite some time that first Roma, then Fiorentina, Milan, Juventus are after Vargas. Now it has been confirmed Wenger and Ramos were checking him out as well, AND that they are involved in a tug of war for his services.

I don't know if Wenger speaks Spanish or Italian, but I wouldn't mind "El Loco" playing for the Gunners bursting down the left blank and sending his patented bazooka shots and bombs on opposing goalies. How about that you Gooners! or perhaps Juande beats Wenger and gets his man.

According to some friends, Catania has rejected Liverpool's 8 million offer for Vargas.

According to Corriero dello Sport, Barcelona and Valencia have jumped in as well to win Vargas' signature.

Valencia would be a good fit for him, they need a left back as well.

Don't think Arsenal need the copycat El Loco. Would prefer a player like Houseman.

You're right Dutch mate! For us Peruvians Juan "El Loco" Vargas isn't the original Loco either. His predecessor is Juan "El Loco" Seminario. The original Loco is the only 'Pichichi' Real Zaragoza have had. Diego Milito came close last season to being their second 'Pichichi' ever, but "Loco Seminario remains all alone. Seminario was tearing it up for Zaragoza in the early 60's. El Loco put three past England and the Spanish club signed him immediately. He also played later on for Barcelona and Fiorentina. Did you know your man Van Basten also scored a hat trick against England? I know it's not the same as scoring a hat trick against Brasil or Italia but you know.

Speaking of "Loco" Houseman, some player too eh!

Yes, Los Ches need a left back. I don't know if that's a good team for Vargas to go to with all the turmoil of late. Valencia are one of the big clubs for sure, but this season has been very negative for them. They'll be back in no time hopefully.
