They were the worse team in all of their games, but have a real team spirit.
    You have to admire them.
Footballing-wise they should have gone out against Switzerland or the Czechs. Even my Turkish friends admitted that.
Croatia beat themselves tonight. They should have played much more attacking. Although the didn´t, the blew many chances.

    Okay, that's it.

If Pierre refuses to change that avatar of his, I'm herewith asking the mods in charge to tell him to. Because this is indeed going far.

Otherwise I'm out of here, I mean that.
I know, that's probably not much of a threat for most people here, but anyway.

It's a pity really, because I had been thinking for the last couple of weeks that this was a really cool forum.

    Good night.

Footballing wise they are twice the team Switzerland are the weather prohibited this but they still won. Against the Czechs it was 50/50 Turkey had the more talented individuals and won with a little bit of help from Cech <Ale>

With Turkey through it seems a pure formality for the Germans. 5 goals scored preferably in the last 10 minutes will do them. They won't be able to bounceback from that methinks Whistle

I will support Germany for the first time this tourney! It was great what Turkey did this tourney. But, another Greece would be bad for European football...

Countries must deserve to win a tourney rather than everything is based on luck... Also, you have to be good enough defend a title with grace over 4 years and not how Greece did it this time!

I'm afraid Turkey aren't able to do that!

    So come on Germany!!!!

I think it will be a civil war in Germany when Turks win.
    https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img516/6923/deutschlandxt3.jpg

And Turkiye has too many injured players Sad However we managed to win a lot of matches when everyone thought the match was over so i dont know this match how finished.
God and God's Angels wanted to glory of Turkiye the last 3 match.I hope it will repeat.

Turkey have 9 injuries/suspensions (Nihat has already flown home), meaning if required, their 3rd sub will be their 3rd goalie who might have to come on as an outfielder Yikes

Well for the bookings yeah, it's their own fault. But the injuries are a blow...losing your first choice CB Servet, Emre, Nihat, etc.

Yes, that's quite amazing. Actually, it reminds me of Germany 96, when we had to do the same with Oliver Kahn and Oliver Reck, they even had their jerseys ready!

Another reason not to underestimate the Turks at all, since we all know how Euro 96 ended...

Well at least one of this teams will lose, but the downside is one will make the final!

So who the support..based on the board its turkey, based on the real world its germany!

I hate the turks, though I wouldnt rather be a paki then a turk. With their car honking and being parasites of every European society, the fact that they are muslim doest help either with supporting appeal.

Then we have the Germans...horrible football, zero appeal and flucking away through the finals as always..its like 2002 all over again!!

Is their anything worse in the world then German-Turks i wonder!

Anyway dunno who to support yet Biggrin

    Lothar says: Germany 3-0 Turkey

"The Germans are the clear favourite in this match, because they don't have the same personnel problems as Turkey. They held themselves back in the opening games but then they showed their real capabilities against Portugal. Turkey have had to replace a lot of players and have been lucky not to have been trailing by bigger margins in some of their games. A clear victory for Germany."

Before the Portugal game he was lambasting the performances of the team, he criticised the lack of ‘talk’ on the pitch and questioned the spirit of the team, now he is excited with the prospect of the team getting to the final but warned of complacency he also said he is waiting for the team to ‘prove him wrong’. Is he on German TV covering the Euros, surely he’s not only on English TV ..
