Re: International Friendlies Thread
Watching sweden vs brasil friendly. Quite an open game, points to note are that Alves has grown an islamic style beard ready for a move to the middle east, sweden are shit, and neymar fallen down 37 times in the first 15 mins (the last stat might not be accurate since I made it up, but more accurate than a PES stat)

Re: International Friendlies Thread
Sweden get pissed off with Neymar's diving so try to break him in half. Some really dirty challenges going in on him, without any yellow cards being shown (think the ref may have forgotten to bring them).

Re: International Friendlies Thread
Japan beat France 1 - 0 in a friendly. Kagawa the scorer. And it was a strong Franc team with Benzema, Ribery, etc.
Japan goal started with a corner clearance at the Japanese end. Awful defending by France and Koscielny involved here.

Fourth goal for Zlatan. Brilliant semi-overhead 25 yarder sailing past Hart.

I guess the "over-rated" Ibra will now get a bit more respect from the English posters here...

According to Five Live, England fans were singing 'You're just a bad Andy Carroll' at Zlatan until that goal

Far be it from me to call you out for being silly, but given that the argument is generally that he didn't ever do it enough in important games, this seems unlikely to change anything in that regard.,

It was a friendly 'exhibition' match to open Sweden's stadium - they fielded their A-team.
England's starting XI was experimental, the substitutes won a competition on Radio 1. I'm not sure England fans will take the last 20 minutes to heart.

Zlatan scoring 4 against England - and all the English fans seems pretty butthurt about it. Don't worry, it was only a friendly and they only fielded players who would normally never get a look in (Hart, Gerrard, Young, Welbeck etc.)

The Media have gone apeshit over this. Best goal ever???
Well, dunno about you fellas, but this is just one example of a bicycle kick that was better - goalkeeper on his line, competitive match, further out, more accurate, not in injury time when the game was practically over anyway etc etc
Bobo - it's the hyperbole that's annoying, not the result.

I also liked Rivaldo's overhead kick vs Valencia in 2001 which was basically a playoff for a CL place.

Yes, that Rivaldo one was also in the back of my mind thinking of better goals. Wonderful goal and individual performance.
Not quite as crucial, but still more competitive than yesterday's game was Trevor Sinclair's in the Premier League back in the 90's. Ball moving at pace, goalkeeper in position:

Worms was an insufferable, treacherous prick, but he was absolutely right about Ibrahimovic... it is clear that he is carrying both Sweden & PSG alone at this point.
