We are, Zambrotta or Belletti never go to the centre as aften as Alves.

Zambrotta never went forward, except to lose the ball. I agree that Belletti probably player a little more wide, but he couldn't cross so it sort of evens it out.

I am sure that Alves will come good, but right now the whole team is just a mess as we have no shape. Pep or Puyol needs to sort them out. And just bench Henry already..

at least liverpool got the bottle to keep it 0-0. Not to lose like this with very poor attacking build up, while liverpool come up with defensive build ups. With rijkaard, you could sense more movement. Now you know where iniesta, and xavi will be (left n right respectively, and Iniesta shows some poor control in that channel, pep thinks he can cut it after watching La Roja in Euros). And also Teary, Ego'o, and messi are again so mcuh easier to defend me thinks. Messi at least got a better control, and quick turns to do something. Ego'o could shoot. Teary is sleeping as always. But Belletti was great in taking out one defender off right winger, because he was so good with overlapping. Alves is cutting to the centre (I rarely saw him doing this in Sevilla, maybe it's a genius plan by Guardiola), nobody from defenders follows him, because Messi with the ball is going to the centre too, so there is already 6 players waiting for them there already...
And come on, Zambrotta wasn't Coco, he went forward from time to time...

Zizoued - I agree, I was even praising Liverpool for what they did today, but it doesn't change the fact, that they are very narrow too...

Fact is Barca were doing well with fullbacks running to flanks, and offering width. Not anymore. Now they are getting negative in some parts of their game. Better bench teary and play hleb in left, he can at least dribble on his own. Teary is struggling like a snail. Or remove teary, play keita in center, and use iniesta for the left channel with hleb coming later on. That's the better ways I can think...

Belletti benefited from playing with Giuly who was the one actually providing the width. Messi and Alves just needs to understand eachother a bit better, and that can only come with time.

What I find frustrating is the absolute lack pace and speed in the passing and that the players are static. I have nothing against horizontal passing but it has to be fast to work.
