Again, I'm curious as to why Moyes is doing this at all. This is about the worst time to make a bid for Fabregas, when Barca are looking for a new manager (though it looks as if Hiddink might be up for the job, he's just resigned from Anzhi). What makes him think Barca would be be amenable to selling one of their senior players just now? scratch

Rosell is clearing out all of the players with Farça DNA so actually it makes perfect sense. Ale

It's pretty straightforward really. Boils down to whether Barcelona want Fabregas, or if Barcelona want money. If Barcelona want Fabregas then he will stay. If Barcelona want money then he will go.

I think they paid around £30m for him? And I don't think he's really made himself indispensable.

Man Utd wouldn't be making another public offer unless the door was left open by Barca, and this isn't Moyes, it's the new CEO Edwoodward Woodward who just took over from David Gill.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/23/manchester-united-crash-yokohama-f-marinos

    Yokohama F-Marinos 3-2 Man Utd

MANCHESTER UNITED: De Gea; Fabio, Jones, Evans (Smalling), Evra; Anderson, Cleverley, Zaha (Giggs); Lingard (Ashley Young), Januzaj (Kagawa); Van Persie (Welbeck)
Goals: Lingard 19, Tashiro (OG) 31
    Booking: Cleverley
YOKOHAMA: Enomoto, Dutra, Aguiar, Tashiro, Kobayahsi, Nakamura, Hyodo, Tomisawa, Nakamachi, Marquinhos, Sato.
    Goals: Marquinhos 1, Fabio 50, Fujita 88

I'm not sure if that was the Yokohama F-Marinos best XI, or if they rested players ahead of their league game against Kashiwa Reysol.

Moysey off to a flyer. Two losses in pre season, no one signed, Rooney wanting out and small time Roy Hodgson-esque comments to the media.

Get rid of Moyes already, clueless tit. I doubt HSWHW can do it again on his own this year. But I dont like the rumours about Cesc and Fellaini either.

If Moyes lasts the season I'll be amazed. Really does smell of Roy Hodgson so far but it's extremely early days. I don't think United will get Fabregas; Barca don't want to sell him. Fellaini is the alternative but I'm not sure how well he'll fit in there.

Tough few games to start though, can see them beating Swansea but dropping points to Chelsea and us.

Let's hope so, he has only been signed because he is from Scotland ffs. And what did he do with Everton, turning it into a second Aston Villa, every season was bland.

I really can't see us playing a major role in the title race this year. I wouldnt be suprised if we fall out of the top3 with Moyes at the helm. I dont mind a slow start, we always have that. But the pressure will be immense on him straight away. He will crack for sure.

Still, a bit worrying, not just results wise. They seem to leak goals left and right, even against sub par opposition.

Thank you Man Utd for Ravel Morrison, took him a year to get his crap together, he's on fire, 6 goals so far in pre-season. He just scored 16 seconds into the match against Pacos de Ferreira, who qualified for the Champions League this year.

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Man United actually, have no positive or negative emotional bond to them. 'Worrying' for the Man United fans I meant. But yes, it would be hilarious for them to have a crappy season for the sole reason of Fey conveniently jumping ship.
