England - Oranje is CALLED off; England is WAY too Dangerous Empty England - Oranje is CALLED off; England is WAY too Dangerous

Post by Ricardo Jol Tue Aug 09, 2011 10:12 am

It is too dangerous to play in England at the moment since the country is in a kind of a civil war.

Does this have an effect on the Olympic games next years? Or do we have to organise it in a safe country?

Anyway, it is sad news since for Holland it could have been an historic game since there was an opportunity that Oranje should move to the first place of the FIFA-ranking. If Holland beat England and Italy beat Spain, Holland could have moved over Spain...

What did you expect. We're English. "Dangerous" is our middle name, like these guys:

Be more constructive with your feedback!

The issue is less that it's dangerous for your average fan / person on the street to be in London (unless you choose to dress up as a policeman) than the fact that the Police will be stretched trying to stop youths breaking into Oxfam and burning police vans, so policing a friendly match is the last thing they can afford to do.

Which is why they should bring the Hell's Angels in to do the job. They can park their motorbikes around the Wembley pitch and keep those raucous drug taking, cheese eating Dutchies from running naked across the pitch at every other break in play.

I didnt care about this game considering we play them twice a year it seems and the season just started ffs. But now, we could go first ffs. That would be so humiliating for the Germans!

But England HAD to ruin it Erm

Bar being a second tier footballnation they have become a third world nation! Muslims and negroids making every English city unlivable, jewish bankers destroying their economy, and hideous English pikeys with England-tops (seriously, why wear those, you look like idiots in them) terrorizing basically any half-populair holiday place.

    IE

It's not only the football where the English seems talentless, this country had one of the biggest empires the world has ever seen and in less the 90 years look whats left of it! Worst generation ever me thinks.

Churchill and Thatcher, she is kinda dead, are spinning in their graves surely!

Put England in quarantine says I!!

    Laugh

Alright alright Fey, calm down. The media have overblown a lot of this as normal.

London is a huge city. This is happening in pockets. Most people are living quite normal lives. The city isn't in cinders, black men aren't roaming the streets trying to rape your children.

The health and safety obsessed, over-PC nature of England - a by product of trying to quite rightly be a civilised country - has backfired. Hence the lack of force the police have used and also the cancelling of the Holland game (which would have gone on fine).

Doesn't mean chaos has enveloped the entire city. A plant pot was knocked over outside my house last night, but eye witnesses cam confirm it was an excitable fox. Naturally I've reported it to the media just in case Ale

However, according to the riotmap the entire city is on fire.

He was probably counting his lucky stars he wasn't about to get "De Jong'ed" a few days before the start of the season.

Let's be honest, this is a win-win situation:

Game cancelled so my journey home from work will be much quicker,

police can concentrate on 'tasering little masked scrotes,

Holland remain above Germany but avoid obtaining top spot in the FIFA rankings and in the process hammer the final nail into the coffin of it's already floundering reputation,

English players can start the season without broken bones,

Van Bommel, De Jong and Co. can leave their blood stained boots at home,

and we can all avoid watching yet another 1-1 draw

Who cares about the stupid FIFA rankings anyway? As if that would make you a better team than Spain. The travesty about the rankings is that you're ranked above us. It doesn't matter if you're first or 69th, which would be a fairer reflection of things, as long as you're ranked below us! For that alone Blatter should be sacked.

As a friend of mine remarked, interesting that Rio, never usually short of an inane thought to tweet to his millions of followers, shouldn't have taken the opportunity to call his brothers off.

No. Because it's just Holland you're playing against. Nobody really cares. I wouldn't have known without this thread. Nobody would pay any attention, not a house or chicken wing would be spared. You save the lovely press articles, goose steps and steel helmets for the real teams.

Sure you can't race everywhere, especially close to the Dutch or Belgian border, to save you from yourselves. I'm actually in the area currently, and the Dutch really are awful drivers. The Belgians are worse though, you really have to wonder if they have any kind of education before they get their licence...
