Even the correct tweet is embarrassing. Why not just say he's got a virus? Do we need to know he's sitting on the toilet all day?

Maybe the first tweet was true Very Happy

ZENIT: LFC will face the Russian side, whose fans this week demanded white players only, in Europe. Luis Suarez is excited by the tie.

Weren't they saying this week that Lloris is the best keeper in the league? A keeper who has started less than half their games, and looked a joke in more than half of them.

He quite possibly is - not like he doesn't have previous pedigree.

AVB gave him time to acclimatise + nudged the hugely respected Friedel out of the door gently and that has proven to be the right strategy. As for looking a joke, what games are you referring to? He's been great bar a couple of incidents early on.

ok he's the best goalkeeper in the league ASTERISK considering he's a new signing and hasn't played all that many games

but seriously, he's been as bad as de Gea was last season, so you my friend do not know what stick is.

What on earth is that show you've posted? Never heard of it, seemed supportive of AVB anyway.

There's been plenty of support for AVB anyway.. Of course he got stick to begin with, he was picking weird teams and getting dodgy results and this right after doing a dodgy job at Chelsea. Spurs fans were slagging him off! Spurs fans on here were giving him stick for picking Friedel instead of Lloris.

BT life's a pitch, various media figures offering their views on a weekly basis.

Only one guy seemed supportive there, the rest just buried him and that was in November.

He got 14 points from his first 7 games, his start was fine and he was getting it in the neck.

His selections have been pretty consistent throughout the season, he's combated a lot of injuries and also Levy not delivering for him in the transfer window.

As for Spurs fans, there were and are still a lot of them, who like the press were still obsessed with our previous manager. Some wanted Lloris in straight away, others wanted Firedel to keep the no.1 position, in the end I think AVB played it just right.

As for Lloris, dunno about best in the league, Glennda is right in that its far too early to say, but certainly looks - talent wise - best goalkeeper I've seen at Spurs since the original #wojciech szezszny: Erik Thorsvedt.

Made one big boo boo against Maribor at WHL when he got caught trying to dribble it, but since then I think its fair to say Spurs fans are unified in agreement that dropping the otherwise fine Brad Friedel was the correct move. His performance alone away at Lazio was enough to make up for that Maribor gaff.

Still, we hyped up Gomes at one point and looked how that turned out. So who knows long term if Hugo will be the real deal. So far so good though

Think we should order some humble pie folks, most of us on here should have some of it, with our great friend Pierre having the largest piece.

    Are you fucking serious ?

He did well against Spurs when they played almost the whole game with ten.

He scores a hat-trick v a Newcastle side with James Perch at CB and this should make me eat humble pie ?!

He scored a hat-trick for England then did fuck all for years.

He did score 1 from his 7 shots v Reading mind you and I think that equals henry's best ever ratio in a CL season so I can understand why some have been making comparisons Coffee

Walcott doesn't have the attributes to play CF - if teams defend deep against you he is fucked.

A lot of talk about Fergie last few days - the one thing I love about that c**t is his refusal to allow player power - if ever had a player walk into his office and demand that he play in a different position he would be out and would end up playing for a club like Arsenal.

    lol!

Why do u always do this to yourself Pierre?

Already forgotten what Torres put u through?

You could pick and choose the games all u like to suit your agenda, fact is, he's been very impressive for us this season to such an extent that even a 'hater' or huge scpetic like me can't do anything else but hold my hand up and say 'yes, I was wrong, he's actually developed into a very good footballer'. Why can't u do the same Pierre? You rather go through another Torres-like experience? Or the Henry experience when he came back last season and prove u wrong by showing that he could still cut it in the league after his legs are gone?

The fact that Henry was not clinical but still managed to scored as many goals as he did shows what a great footballer he was, he created chances for himself for fun. Now that he's lost that explosiveness he once had, he's now creating chances for others:

As u can see here in the Bergkamp role. What a player!

    Guzan
    Lowton-Herd-Clark-Stevens
    Albrighton-Westwood-Delph-Bennett
    Benteke-Weimann

Might still be 532 but Albrighton in suggests wingers rather than wingbacks.

Chris Herd is our oldest outfield player affraid

Spurs taking the game to Reading like Trevor Francis said they look unbalanced attacking without Bale and Spurs are set up better away from home to play on the counter with there speed and wingers. I thought Dembele would make more of a difference it seems in the last third at home AVB has some work to do with his players in the creative and movement department in front of goal. Better play on the ball than with Harry.

Arsenal's defending continues where it left off against Newcastle. Absolutely pathetic.

We're playing poorly, and again, having Walcott up front means that no passes forward even get challenged for.
