Never. Elbow very close to his body, would be furious if pen would be called.

Dont understand why we are allowing Blind to run a show from deep, instead of pressuring him with Besic or Naismith. Now both are booked (as Blind is) so this is no longer possible.

Ref is very card happy btw, not sure if for some of today's bookings Martin Atkinson from his Merseyside derby form would even call a foul.

    United - Everton 2:1 FT.

Two equally bad teams at the moment, but United had individuals like Di Maria, Falcao and De Gea. Spaniards save of Oviedo shot was just absolutely amazing.

And we now have Stones injured as well Grr

United got lucky in the end but Everton must be worried - Lukaku was largely dreadful.

Can't see how United won't get 4th - Di Maria and Falcao will win them a lot of games.

Not that any of you fannies are watching, but I am witnessing sexual chocolate on my 60inch tv: Spurs playing absolutely superb football against Saints. 1 up, could be 3 at least, Chadli hitting the post, Forster somehow diverting Lamela's long ranger after a Bale-esque run.

Its not often I get erect watching Spurs, but that first half has been spunk worthy. Southampton have played their part, they are a very good side. But the intensity, speed and accuracy we are playing at is beyond what they were probably expecting.

If we played like this every week, we would make top 4. Even Naughton has played a blinder.

I am actually watching it, as I wanted to finally take a good look at Southampton and you just know what the score will be in game between Mourinho and Wenger Laugh

You are playing well, but 3:0 would be very harsh scoreline. Adebayor has been suberb for you, when on the other side game like this shows limitations of Wanyama and to lesser extent Schneiderlin.

I can see Mane causing Dier serious problems in 2nd half though.

Agreed, 2-0 would be fair. And even then Saints have played well. A superb game so far, I somehow doubt the second half can match that level of intensity. Losing Naughton might indeed turn out to be a blow. Which is a sentence I never omagined I would ever have said prior to this.

Yellow for Kaboul was a weird decision. Either let play on (as Kaboul was stronger shoulder to shoulder than Mane) or sent off him, as he was the last men.

Solid performance by Spurs. When healthy Lloris, Kabul, Vertonghen and Capoue are solid spine, not a fan of their full backs though.
In attack Adebayor had good all around game, Eriksen scored and Chadli is a big threat on counter attack.
Pochettino also learnt from his mistake during North London Derby and this time brought Dembele for Eriksen (is he another van der Vaart in not being able to play full 90 minutes?) instead of f'n Lennnon.

Quite disappointed by Southampton. Bertrand was probably their stand out player today. Can't believe they replaced Boruc with someone like Forster.

    1-0 FT.

Less impressive second half, Eriksen cant seem to last 90 minutes and each time we sub him off we lose impetus. Southampton should have equalised near the end, Mané with a horrendous miss 3 yards out.

Very satisfying 70 minutes though. Thatll put Fey back in his box this week.

Forster is a bit Gomes-esque, great size and athleticism, but his handling seems poor and he doesn't like it when the opposition gets up in his grill.
