Another funny thing is that a group of players qualified for the finals and now some of them aren´t even playing (Paulo Machado for example) to give the place to "stars" with a big media hype.

I didnt know that! TBH i dont follow the "kids" game as much as the rest but that is not fair, but unfortunately, typical of the portuguese mentality of late, lets play the superstars not the hard grafters that gets us places.

Well lets see what the game brings, when is it BTW?

    I think its on Saturday.

The Portugal team looked like they thought they were world beaters and all they had to do, was turn up and they would win. Players like Mountinho were the most disappointing, they strolled around like they believed their own hype. Nani will have to change his attitude when he arrives at united, as Fergie wont torrelate such behaviour.

Portugal had the best midfield in the tournament and were seen as one of the favourites and now it appears they are on the way home. Hopefuly they will learn from this and remember you have to earn a win, no matter who you are playing.

Any of you portuguese guys still visit this place or did you all moved to the other forum?

No Luso, Pauloduarte, Jonhinho,... in a while.

For Portuguese talk, it's mostly on the other site.

    Sporting fans...

SkySports.com tells me that Rochemback has signed for you or will be signing for you soon. Any rumours at your end?

The rumour here is that he had agreed a three years contract with Sporting in December, and was just waiting for now to sign.
