postscript to tonight - Torres looked utterly gutted at his own team's impotence after his last shot on goal came to nought. If this doesn't persuade him to leave, I don't know what will.

    Torres , what happened.

It was good to see the smile back on Rijkaard.

Messi, Eto'o and Ronaldinho .. the groove is back, no doubt.

Same here, having all those Barcelona players in my team really helped, and now I'm back in the race to catch lrd (who I have to admit made a very smart transfer by getting on-form Joaquin).

Not just the goal difference, but the way in which we've achieved it - we have the best attack (by faaaaaaaaaaar) in the league, and the 2nd best defence (only Getafe are better having conceded one less than us).

I wonder what people who criticise our defending have to say about that.

Yeah Pichu could have done better, but considering that Rijkaard actually criticised the team for not concentrating and using their advantage to score *more* in the 2nd half, I don't think it would have mattered.

It's fair because it proves you can't beat anyone good. Nobody cares if you beat Patetico 0-6; what matters is what you have done against Real Madrid, Sevilla, and Valencia -- which is nothing!

Barcelona have the second best defence because when they play teams like Nastic, they have the ball for 90% of the time. So how is the other team supposed to score?

Playing a basic long ball. There are enough clowns in that defense to make it a lethal weapon. They also play quite a high line at times. Why no one has tried to expose Thuram and Puyol for pace is beyond me.

If more teams had a player like Raul Bravo, I'm sure they would use this tactic. As it is, there aren't many teams in Spain with a player, such as the great #15, with the ability to make that a threat.

Pair him and Richardson(10 M sterling) on the left side. He has great pace and the x-factor. Next time you go to nou camp, I expect no less than 0-6/6-0 with all goals coming from that side.
