City linked with Fae !

According to Le Parisien, Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae is to sign a four-year deal with Manchester City.

Nantes-born Fae has impressed since making his debut for the club four years ago and the Ivorian international, 23, has caught the eye in particular of Bordeaux - who eventually plumped for Alou Diarra - Lokomotiv Moscow, Dynamo Kiev and Manchester City.

Sven Goran Eriksson's City appear to have won the race for the highly-rated defensive midfielder, with Fae believed to be on the verge of a £2.5 million transfer.

Promising Emerse Fae could be The Citizens' fourth summer signing after Geovanni, Rolando Bianchi and Gelson Fernandes.

Sven's knowledge of various leauges/players in the market is very impressive - if he's a good player.

Always looked tasty when I've seen him - he may be a defensive mid but he has very decent ability, not just a tackler.
