    For your team?

    Chelsea : Aston Villa

Sorensen put in 2 MOTM performances and the whole team in general put in 2 very stubborn defensive performances, to ensure that we dropped 4 points against them (1-1 at SB; 0-0 at VP). To make matters worse, they then completely rolled over against United (at a time when we needed them to take something against United) to lose both games something like 3-0.

    Arsenal

Spanked us home and away with late goals in either match sealing victory.

    Obviously Man U.

Beat us fair and square at Old Trafford but sneaked a late winner at Anfield. Plus won the league.

    Arsenal: West Ham

They won 1-0 on both occasions. The away match could of gone either way but the home performance was a repeat of so many last season. We failed to take huge chances infornt of goal yet concede a goal due to a lack of concentration at the back.

Could say virtually any lower mid-table side who we struggled against last year. The sides who put everyone behind the ball at the Emirates and scored with their one shot in the entire match.

I'd probably have to go for West Ham if I was to single one team out. At Upton Park they got a late winner in what was an even game. At the Emirates they were the first team to beat us in the stadium despite the fact that we tore them to pieces and should have had half a dozen goals. They continue to frustrate us seeing as the previous season they beat us at Highbury thanks to Sol Campbell losing the plot and gifting them two goals.

Most sides managed to keep you out with only 6 men behind the ball. Face it, your failure to score was not because of their negative tactics, but your team's lack of cutting edge. Teams did the same vs. Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool...

    Not really...

We deseved to win at home...were the better team.
Away...we were lucky yes, Green was magnificent, we still played well though.

Remember the 2-3 at Highbury? We battered the $h!t out of you then. Get used to the fact you haven't beaten us since 2003. We have your number ok

    For us obviously Tottenham-
Home-We lost 4-3 when we should have won...really did leave me sick.
Away...they won 1-0 in a game that should've been a draw. The fourth official held up 1 minute injury time in the first half...Mido scores on the 3rd minute of injury time...

    Tottenham=c**ts Ale

Were the 2 defeats I detested least. Least thing we could do after what they did to Spurs the previous season.

Favour has been returned now, so we can beat the Hammers twice this season.

On a lower level in the Championship.

West Bromwich Albion: Derby, We played better than them on the day regardless of whether they finished higher than us the Play Off Finals is about on the day peformance which is ironic considering we lost but it's Derby. Like the now departed Chris Perry said they have no talent except for Giles Barnes.

Absolute bollocks. Almost every team that came to the Emirates played staggeringly unimaginatively and defensively.

Fair enough. It works. Hopefully we'll cope better this season.

How many games did you watch? I saw teams sitting deep, rather than leaving space for your pace merchant attackers to run into. That's not unimaginative and defensive, it's just what you do when the opposition's forwards are quicker than your defenders.

I bet you are pining for the good old days when dipshit Premiership managers said to their teams 'get up and at em, Arsenal don't like it if you get in their faces' when of course, that's exactly what Arsenal like because it leaves spaces to run into.

Pretty basic stuff, if you understand anything about tactics. But you'd rather whinge and sound thick. Your choice.

Fair enough. It works. Hopefully we'll cope better this season.

I doubt it, given that your best forward is gone, Adebayor, Fabregas and Hleb couldn't hit an elephant with a cruise missile, and you've signed a player who may well turn out to be as effective for you as Julio Baptista...
