Yeh, but he wasn't exactly spectacular.

Maybe Valdes for De Gea but otherwise completely agree.

Rooney for me has been the most impressive attacking player in Europe this season.

rooney's been good, but drogba has been on a class of his own in the epl.

which makes rooney not even the best in his league.

nobody can come close to this year's european golden boot winner messi though.

Ooooh! They put Alonso in the XI as well.

Mixed feelings on the inclusion of Filipe Luis. Surely he was there for the first half but if you miss the entire second half can you be in the team of the season? Not really any one clear choice at left back this season.

I don't think there's been that much of a difference between Rooney and Drogba at all.

Drogba was at the ACN for a month for sure, but Rooney hasn't been fit since getting injured in Munich a couple of months ago. He's also had to carry a rather average United side in all honesty (particularly in central midfield), whilst Chelsea have been breaking scoring records this season in comparison.

Messi is certainly the best of the 3.

Personally, comparing first hand what Rooney did to us at WHL (took us apart) VS what Drogba did to us a WHL (nothing), I'd take Rooney over the Drog, but I'm happy to confirm this is my own bias based mostly on these 2 games
